Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

HandHeld Nautiz X5 eTicket — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (NX5-2004)
This is a 3.7V Li-ion 6400mAh battery for the HandHeld Nautiz X5 eTicket rugged mobile computer. It fits the Nautiz X5 eTicket directly and matches the OEM part numbers NX5-2004, J62510N0272, and 6251-0A. The Nautiz X5 eTicket is a field-grade barcode scanner and data terminal used in logistics, ticketing, and outdoor data collection.
- Nautiz X5 eTicket compatibility: The X5 eTicket uses a fixed 3.7V cell with a specific BMS handshake that controls scan trigger power and wireless radio output. This pack matches that voltage rail and connector exactly — the BMS initialises without faults on insertion.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated scan-burst and wireless polling sequences. The BMS held the voltage rail stable across sustained trigger pulls and did not trip during combined radio and imager draw.
- First-shift preparation: After installing this pack, place the Nautiz X5 eTicket in its cradle for a full charge cycle before deploying it. Scan trigger inrush current is highest when the cell is near minimum — a pre-charged pack prevents false BMS trips on the first shift in the field.
Cradle showing a charging error on a new pack
Charging errors on the Nautiz X5 eTicket cradle after a battery swap are almost always a contact resistance issue, not a pack fault. Debris or oxidation on the battery's gold contacts raises resistance above the dock's threshold, and the charger reads it as a fault condition. Remove the pack, wipe all contacts on both the battery and cradle with a dry cloth, and reseat firmly. If the error clears, the pack was never the problem.
Scanner losing wireless connection during rapid scan bursts
The Nautiz X5 eTicket draws from the same cell for both the imager and the wireless radio simultaneously. During rapid back-to-back scans, the combined inrush can pull the cell voltage below the radio module's minimum operating threshold — the radio drops out first because the imager gets priority from the BMS. This is more common when the pack is below 20% charge. Keep the pack above 3.6V during heavy pick-and-pack shifts to prevent the radio from dropping mid-transmission.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Nautiz X5 eTicket won't read barcodes after I swapped the battery — what's wrong?
The imager needs a minimum voltage to fire the laser or illumination array, and a freshly installed pack that hasn't been charged yet may not be there yet. Put the device in the cradle and charge it fully before your first scan. If the device powers on but the scan trigger does nothing, check the BMS hasn't tripped — power the unit off completely, remove the pack for 30 seconds, reinstall, and charge to at least 3.8V before testing again.
My Nautiz X5 eTicket runs noticeably shorter shifts than it used to, even with this new battery — what's causing it?
Scan burst frequency and wireless polling rate both draw from the same cell, and if either has increased — more items scanned per hour, a tighter sync interval, or a new app pushing more data — the pack drains faster regardless of capacity. Check whether background wireless polling has been enabled or increased since the last battery was in service. If scan rates haven't changed, verify the charger is completing a full cycle — a dock with worn contacts may be cutting the charge short, leaving the pack at 90% rather than 100%.
The Nautiz X5 eTicket gets noticeably warm after a long shift — is the battery causing it?
Heat during extended shifts is expected when the imager and wireless radio are running continuously inside a compact, enclosed housing with limited airflow. The cell generates heat under sustained combined load, and the housing traps it. This is not a fault condition. If the device becomes too hot to hold or shuts down automatically, that is thermal protection cutting in — reduce scan burst frequency, allow a short rest between heavy sessions, and ensure the housing vents are not blocked by gloves or cases.
