Fits Pantone 7525C, 7527C, S86T, and S750 barcode scanners; replaces OEM battery for these handheld models.
3.7V 2000mAh Li-ion cell delivers the sustained power needed for continuous scan-and-transmit cycles in warehouse environments.
Connector mates directly to scanner battery slot with positive and negative contact alignment; no adapter required.
We bench-tested this pack on a 7525C cradle under repeated rapid-fire scan bursts; BMS accepted the charge handshake and held voltage under combined radio and trigger load.
After installing, place the scanner in its cradle for one full charge cycle before heavy pick-and-pack use—the scan trigger draws peak inrush current near minimum voltage, and a pre-charged cell prevents false BMS cutoff on the first shift.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Pantone 7525C / 7527C Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V 2000mAh Li-ion battery fits the Pantone 7525C, 7527C, S86T, and S750 handheld barcode scanners. It replaces the original cell in retail, warehouse, and inventory scanning applications where the stock battery has degraded or failed. Dimensions are 56.76 × 36.50 × 18.30mm — confirm against your existing pack before installing.

  • 7525C, 7527C, S86T, S750 fit group: These four models share the same battery bay dimensions, 3.7V nominal voltage rail, and connector orientation, which is why a single cell covers all four. The BMS handshake protocol is consistent across the series.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack under combined scan-trigger and wireless-radio load — the two draws that hit simultaneously during rapid scanning. The BMS held cutoff voltage correctly and did not trip under burst conditions.
  • First-shift prep for pick-and-pack: After installing this pack, place the scanner in its cradle and complete one full charge cycle before use. Scan-trigger inrush current is highest when the cell is near minimum charge, and starting a shift with a fully charged pack prevents false BMS trips on the first heavy scan run.

Cradle showing a charging error on a new pack

Charging docks on the 7525C series read pack state through spring-loaded contact pins. If those pins encounter oxidation or debris on the battery contact pads, the dock logs a fault before the charge cycle begins. This is not a fault with the cell itself — it is a contact resistance issue at the interface. Wipe the gold contact pads on the battery with a dry cloth, reseat the pack firmly in the cradle, and the charge indicator should switch to active within 30 seconds.

Scanner losing wireless connection during rapid scan bursts

During a rapid scan burst, the imager draw and the wireless radio transmit pulse fire at near the same moment. On a depleted or degraded cell, this combined inrush causes a momentary voltage sag that drops below the radio module's minimum operating threshold, resetting the wireless link. The scanner stays powered but drops off the network until the radio re-initialises. Keep the pack above 20% charge during high-frequency scanning shifts — below that level, sag under dual load becomes large enough to trigger the drop consistently.

Frequently Asked Questions

My 7525C scanner stopped reading barcodes right after I swapped the battery — what's wrong?

The imager or laser module needs a minimum voltage to fire at full power, and a new pack shipped in storage state may sit below that threshold. Drop the scanner into its cradle and let it charge fully before attempting to scan. Once the cell is at capacity, the imager power rail stabilises and reads should resume normally. If it still fails after a full charge, check that the battery is fully seated and the contacts are clean.

The replacement pack feels warm after a full warehouse shift — is that normal?

Sustained scan-trigger draw combined with continuous wireless polling generates more heat than either load alone, and the enclosed housing of the 7525C limits airflow around the battery. Warmth at end of shift is expected under that combined load. What is not normal is a pack that is hot to the touch or that the scanner itself flags as a thermal fault. If the scanner shows a temperature warning, let the unit cool for 10 minutes before reseating the pack and continuing.

This battery isn't lasting as long as the original did on the same shift schedule — what shortens Li-ion capacity fastest in a scanner like this?

Shallow partial-charge cycles — topping up for a few minutes between tasks rather than completing full charge cycles — degrade Li-ion capacity faster than deep cycling does. Wireless polling adds a constant background draw that doesn't show up in scan counts but accumulates across a shift. Run full charge-to-discharge cycles where the workflow allows, and avoid leaving the scanner in the cradle on trickle charge overnight every night. A consistent full-cycle routine keeps the cell capacity closer to its 2000mAh rating for longer.
