This 3.7V, 2000mAh Li-ion battery replaces the OEM pack in the Teklogix 7525, 7525C, and 7527 WorkAbout Pro series handheld scanners. It also covers G1 and G2 variants along with eleven additional models sharing the same battery bay. Dimensions are 56.76 × 36.50 × 18.30mm — a direct physical match to the original slot.

• 7525 / 7527 platform compatibility: These models share a common battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol across G1, G2, and C variants. One battery covers the full line because Teklogix kept the power architecture consistent across revisions — voltage rail, contact layout, and communication lines are unchanged.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the 7525 platform. The BMS negotiated normally, charge termination triggered at the correct voltage ceiling, and the scanner firmware accepted the pack without prompting a battery fault or service warning.
• First-shift preparation on pick-and-pack lines: After installing a new pack, seat the scanner in its charging cradle for a full charge cycle before putting it into service. The scan trigger inrush current is highest when the cell is near minimum charge — starting a shift with a fully charged cell prevents false BMS trips when operators run rapid back-to-back scans on the first hour of a shift.

Charging docks for the 7525 series use spring-loaded contacts to read pack voltage and initiate the charge handshake. If those contacts are dirty or the pack isn't fully seated, the dock registers a contact resistance fault and throws a charging error even though the battery itself is fine. Wipe the gold contacts on both the battery and the cradle with a dry lint-free cloth, then reseat the pack with firm pressure until you feel it click into alignment. If the error clears, the pack was never the problem — it was contact resistance. If the error persists after cleaning, check that cradle supply voltage at the dock input is within the 5V nominal spec before swapping hardware.

The 7525 draws simultaneously from the wireless radio and the scan trigger during a rapid burst — the combined inrush can cause a momentary voltage sag if the cell's state of charge is low. The BMS interprets that sag as an overload condition and briefly throttles output, which drops the radio link before the scan engine can transmit the read. This shows up as disconnects that appear random but cluster toward the end of a shift when the cell is partially depleted. Keeping the pack above 30% state of charge during high-frequency scan operations eliminates most of these drops — charge the unit during any extended break rather than running it to cutoff.
