Fits Zebra WT41N0, WT4000, WT4090 wearable terminals; replaces OEM battery pack.
3.7V 4400mAh delivers sustained power for all-shift scan and wireless operations without mid-day swaps.
Connector seats straight into the battery slot with a positive locking tab; no force needed.
Bench testing showed clean BMS handshake on first insertion; full charge cycle completed without fault codes.
After installing, place the scanner in its cradle for a full charge cycle before using in pick-and-pack — the scan trigger inrush current is highest when the cell is near minimum and a pre-charged cell prevents false BMS trips on the first shift.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Zebra WT41N0 / WT4090 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V 4400mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Zebra WT41N0, WT4000, and WT4090 wearable mobile computers. These are wrist-mounted barcode scanning terminals used in warehouse picking, retail fulfilment, and logistics operations. Capacity figures come from the product data — 16.28Wh at 3.7V nominal.

  • WT41N0 / WT4000 / WT4090 platform fit: All three models run the same 3.7V battery bay with identical connector orientation and BMS communication protocol. The pack dimensions — 113.13 x 43.88 x 27.22mm — match the wrist unit battery compartment without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated scan-trigger and wireless polling loads. The BMS held voltage above cutoff through sustained burst scanning and maintained stable draw during simultaneous radio and imager activation.
  • First-shift preparation on the WT41N0: After installing, seat the scanner in its charging cradle for a full charge cycle before use on the floor. Scan-trigger inrush current is highest when the cell is near its minimum charge level — starting a pick shift on a partially charged new pack increases the chance of a BMS trip on the first heavy scan burst.

Cradle showing a charging error on a new pack

The WT41N0 cradle uses spring-loaded dock contacts that read BMS authentication before starting the charge cycle. A new pack straight from packaging sometimes has residual protective film or light oxidation on the gold contacts. If the cradle LED flashes an error immediately after seating, remove the pack, wipe the battery contacts with a dry lint-free cloth, and reseat firmly. The cradle should begin its charge handshake within 10 seconds of correct contact.

Scanner losing wireless connection during rapid scan bursts

The WT41N0 runs its 802.11 radio and barcode imager from the same cell simultaneously. During a rapid scan sequence, combined inrush from the imager trigger and radio transmission spikes draw sharply — if the pack voltage sags below the BMS hold threshold, the radio link drops before the scan engine does. This appears as a disconnection mid-shift rather than a flat battery. Keeping the cell above 3.5V through regular cradle top-ups between shifts prevents the sag event that triggers the drop.

Frequently Asked Questions

My WT41N0 won't read barcodes after I swapped the battery — the scanner powers on but the trigger does nothing

The imager needs a minimum voltage to fire the scan engine. A new pack shipped in storage may sit at 3.2V or lower, which is enough to boot the terminal but not enough to power the imager trigger reliably. Place the unit in the cradle and charge to full before attempting a scan. Once the cell reaches 3.7V nominal, the trigger will respond normally.

The cradle contact points on my WT4090 feel loose and the pack keeps showing a charging error — is the battery faulty?

Cradle contact resistance is the most common cause of charging errors on the WT4090 dock, not the pack itself. Debris and wear on the spring pins create enough resistance to fail the BMS handshake. Clean both the cradle pins and the battery contact pads with a dry cloth, reseat the pack with firm downward pressure, and check that the cradle LED shifts from error to charging within 10 seconds.

The WT41N0 runs noticeably warm after a long picking shift — is that a battery problem or a scanner problem?

Sustained simultaneous draw from the wireless radio and barcode imager in the enclosed wrist housing generates heat at the cell level. This is expected behaviour under continuous use but becomes a concern if the housing feels hot rather than warm, or if the BMS trips the pack off. If the unit shuts down from heat, reduce scan burst frequency and allow a 15-minute cradle rest period mid-shift to let the cell temperature drop back below 40°C before continuing.
