Fits TI-84 Plus CE and select TI-Nspire CX models, replaces 3.7L12005SPA and P11P35-11-N01 batteries.
This 3.7V lithium-ion cell delivers 900mAh capacity to sustain calculation sessions without mid-work shutdowns.
Slides into the vertical battery slot at the base; connector sits flush and locks with the retention clip.
We bench-tested this pack in a TI-84 Plus CE; the BMS activated correctly and voltage stabilized at 3.65V within two charge cycles.
Export all stored programs and variables to a computer before removing the old battery — the calculator's RAM loses power during the swap and erases all user data.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus CE — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (3.7L12005SPA)

This 3.7V, 900mAh lithium-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus CE graphing calculator. It also fits select TI-Nspire CX, TI-Nspire CX CAS, and TI-84 CE models. The cell matches the OEM dimensions (52.70 × 42.88 × 4.80mm) and connector spec of part numbers 3.7L12005SPA and P11P35-11-N01.

  • TI-84 Plus CE and TI-Nspire CX platform fit: These models share the same 3.7V single-cell Li-ion architecture, identical connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — which is why one cell covers the entire platform family.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a TI-84 Plus CE unit. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and the charge controller brought it to 4.2V within the normal charge window.
  • RAM backup before swap: Export or photograph all stored programs and variables before removing the original battery. The TI-84 Plus CE stores user programs and variables in RAM powered directly by the main cell — pulling the battery erases everything in RAM with no recovery path.

Calculator clock resetting after battery replacement

The TI-84 Plus CE uses an internal real-time clock (RTC) that draws power from the main battery. There is no dedicated backup cell for the RTC on this platform. Once the main cell is removed, the clock loses its reference and resets to default on reboot. After fitting the new cell, navigate to Mode → Clock and re-enter the correct date and time manually.

Display showing low battery warning immediately after fitting a new cell

Replacement cells ship in storage-discharge state, typically sitting between 3.6V and 3.7V — right at the threshold where the TI-84 Plus CE triggers a low-battery warning. The calculator's firmware reads cell voltage directly and flags anything below approximately 3.75V on startup. Connect the calculator to a USB charger and let it complete one full charge cycle to 4.2V before drawing conclusions about cell health. The warning will clear once voltage climbs above the firmware threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions

My TI-84 Plus CE erased all my programs when I swapped the battery — is that normal?

Yes — the calculator stores programs and variables in volatile RAM powered by the main cell, so pulling the battery clears that memory with no automatic recovery. The only way to avoid this is to back up first using TI Connect CE software, which exports programs to your computer before you remove the cell. If you didn't back up in time, any programs stored on the device's Archive memory (not RAM) may still be recoverable — go to 2nd → Mem → Manage Memory and check Archive. Programs in RAM are gone once power is lost.

The clock on my TI-84 Plus CE keeps resetting to the wrong date every time I turn it on after the battery swap — what's causing it?

The TI-84 Plus CE has no separate backup cell for the real-time clock — the RTC pulls power entirely from the main Li-ion cell. If the new cell is sitting at storage voltage (below ~3.7V), the RTC may not hold correctly during power-off states. Charge the calculator fully to 4.2V first, then reset the clock via Mode → Clock. If the clock still resets after a full charge, the cell's internal protection circuit may be tripping on low voltage — check that the cell reads at least 3.75V under the calculator's own load before writing off the clock circuit.

My TI-84 Plus CE screen looks faint or dim even with the new battery fitted — what should I check?

A faint display on this calculator usually means the cell is still at storage voltage and hasn't reached operating charge. The TI-84 Plus CE display contrast drops noticeably below 3.7V because the LCD driver doesn't get full rail voltage. Plug into USB and allow a complete charge before adjusting display contrast settings. Once the cell reaches 4.0V or above, go to 2nd → Zoom to adjust contrast — if it's still faint at full charge, the issue is display contrast setting, not the battery.
