Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

AKASO Seemor 200 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (Seemor-200)
This 3.7V, 3600mAh Li-Polymer cell is a direct replacement for the AKASO Seemor 200 action camera. It fits the Seemor 200 and Seemor-200 variants and carries 13.32Wh of usable energy. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a charge through a full shoot.
- Seemor 200 fit: The Seemor 200 and Seemor-200 share the same battery bay dimensions and the same 3.7V nominal voltage rail. This cell matches that physical format — 71.80 × 43.20 × 8.00mm — and the BMS voltage thresholds the camera expects at startup.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench, confirming the BMS in the Seemor 200 body accepts the cell without error flags and that charge termination triggers correctly at full capacity.
- First-cycle initialisation on the Seemor 200: Run the first full charge inside the camera body itself, not a third-party USB charger. The Seemor 200's onboard BMS maps the battery-remaining indicator against the cell's discharge curve during that first cycle — skipping it can cause the indicator to read inaccurately for the first several uses.
Why the Seemor 200 shows a dead battery icon on a partially charged replacement cell
The Seemor 200 calibrates its battery indicator by reading the cell voltage at specific discharge thresholds. A new Li-Polymer cell fresh out of packaging typically sits between 3.6V and 3.75V — inside the camera's "low battery" voltage window if the threshold mapping hasn't been initialised. The camera interprets this as a near-dead cell rather than a partially charged one. One full charge cycle inside the camera body resets this mapping and the indicator reads correctly from that point forward.
Battery percentage jumping erratically during recording on the Seemor 200
This happens when the camera's voltage-to-percentage table doesn't match the discharge curve of the new cell. During video recording, current draw spikes briefly whenever the processor or sensor increases output, pulling the cell voltage down momentarily. The camera reads that dip as a steep capacity drop and jumps the percentage indicator down. After one or two full charge-discharge cycles, the BMS recalibrates against the actual curve and the display stabilises — charge fully to 4.2V, then run the cell down to auto-shutoff before recharging.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Seemor 200 says "no battery" when I insert the new cell — is the battery dead?
It isn't dead. The Seemor 200's BMS runs a voltage check on insertion, and a new Li-Polymer cell shipped in storage state can read low enough to trigger that rejection screen. Place the cell in the camera, connect the USB charge cable, and let it charge fully inside the body. After one full charge the camera accepts the cell and the error clears.
The battery percentage on my Seemor 200 keeps jumping — it went from 80% to 40% in seconds.
The indicator is mapping voltage dips from recording load to percentage steps, and a new cell's discharge curve doesn't yet match the camera's stored calibration table. This isn't a fault with the cell itself. Run two full charge-to-discharge cycles inside the camera body — charge to 4.2V, shoot until auto-shutoff — and the percentage display will track the actual charge level steadily after that.
My Seemor 200 cuts out mid-video even though the battery indicator showed charge remaining.
Under sustained video recording the Seemor 200 draws current from the sensor, processor, and stabilisation simultaneously. If the cell is cold — below 10°C — internal resistance rises and the terminal voltage sags under that combined load, tripping the low-voltage cutoff before the indicator catches up. Warm the camera to room temperature before shooting, and if the cutoff happens again, check the resting cell voltage with a USB charger — it should read above 3.7V within a minute of disconnecting.
