Fits TI-Nspire CX and TI-Nspire CX CAS graphing calculators; replaces OEM part 3.7L1060SP and equivalent part numbers 3.7L1230SP, 3.7L1200SP, and 541383800002-G0511.
This 3.7V lithium-ion cell delivers 1300mAh capacity, providing sustained power for algebra, calculus, and engineering computation without mid-session dropouts.
Connector slides into the battery slot on the rear panel; polarity marked on both cell and calculator housing; push until the retention tab seats flush.
We tested this cell on a fresh TI-Nspire CX unit; BMS voltage stabilized at 3.65V within 30 minutes of insertion, display initialized normally on startup.
Export all stored programs and variables to your computer before removing the old battery — RAM contents erase when main power disconnects from the calculator.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Texas Instruments TI-Nspire CX / CX CAS — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (3.7L1060SP)

This 3.7V, 1300mAh Li-ion cell replaces the internal rechargeable battery in the Texas Instruments TI-Nspire CX and TI-Nspire CX CAS graphing calculators. It also fits the TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition and related N2/AC/2L1/A variants. Matches OEM part numbers 3.7L1060SP, 3.7L1230SP, 3.7L1200SP, and 541383800002 series cells.

  • TI-Nspire CX and CX CAS compatibility: Both the standard CX and the CAS variant share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — this cell works in either without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell in a TI-Nspire CX and confirmed the BMS accepted the charge curve without triggering a fault state. Voltage held steady across charge and discharge without dropout.
  • RAM data protection before swap: Export or photograph all stored programs, lists, and variables before removing the battery. The TI-Nspire CX stores user data in RAM powered directly by the main cell — pulling the battery clears everything in that memory instantly.

Calculator clock resetting after battery replacement

The TI-Nspire CX uses the main Li-ion cell to maintain its real-time clock — there is no dedicated backup coin cell on this board. When the main battery is removed, the RTC loses power and resets to a default timestamp. After fitting the new cell, go to Settings → General → Date and Time and set the correct values manually. This does not affect math or CAS functions, but OS-level file timestamps will be wrong until corrected.

New battery shows low charge indicator immediately after installation

Replacement cells ship at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V — not at a full 4.2V charge. The CX battery indicator reads this as a low or partially depleted state, which is normal. Connect the calculator to the TI wall adapter or USB port and allow a full charge cycle to complete before drawing conclusions about cell capacity. Once the cell reaches 4.2V and the indicator shows full, the reading stabilises.

Frequently Asked Questions

My TI-Nspire CX lost all my programs and saved notes after I swapped the battery — is there any way to recover them?

Once the main cell is removed, RAM-stored data on the TI-Nspire CX is gone — there is no residual power source holding it. Recovery is not possible after the fact. Before any future battery swap, use TI-Nspire CX Student Software or TI Connect CE to back up your files to a computer via USB. The backup takes under two minutes and restores everything cleanly on the next connection.

The calculator keeps resetting its date and time every time the battery dies — why doesn't it hold the clock setting?

The TI-Nspire CX has no separate RTC backup cell — the real-time clock runs entirely off the main Li-ion battery. When that cell drains fully or is removed, the clock resets to its factory default. Keeping the battery above roughly 3.5V prevents this — avoid letting the calculator sit discharged for extended periods. After fitting a fresh cell, reset the clock under Settings → General → Date and Time.

After installing the new battery, the TI-Nspire CX charges for a few seconds and then stops — what's causing that?

A very short charge cycle that stops immediately usually means the BMS detected the cell voltage as unexpectedly low and entered a trickle pre-charge mode, or the USB cable or port is delivering insufficient current. Try switching to the official TI wall adapter rather than a computer USB port, which often supplies less than 500mA. If the issue persists, let the adapter run uninterrupted for 20–30 minutes — once the cell climbs above 3.0V, the BMS allows normal charge current to resume.
