Sale priceFrom $56.99 USD Regular price $70.99
Shipping calculated at checkout.
Fits Yamaha RM-WGL, RM-WGS wireless microphone transmitters; replaces OEM part RRC1120 and RM-WBT.
3.7V 1800mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers 6.66Wh — sufficient for full conference sessions without mid-meeting cutoff.
Connector seats vertically into the transmitter housing with a single locking tab; confirm flush seating before powering on.
We bench-tested this cell in the RM-WGL housing under sustained transmit draw; BMS held steady at 3.2V under load, no early shutoff.
On first use, run a complete charge-to-empty cycle before your first meeting — the Yamaha firmware maps battery state during normal operation and may display inaccurate warnings until that cycle completes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Yamaha RM-WGL / RM-WGS — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (RRC1120)

This 3.7V 1800mAh (6.66Wh) lithium-polymer battery replaces the original pack in Yamaha RM-WGL and RM-WGS wireless directional tabletop microphone units. It fits the handheld transmitter used in conference rooms, presentations, and live meeting environments. Voltage and cell format match the OEM specification exactly.

  • RM-WGL and RM-WGS platform fit: Both microphone models share the same 3.7V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one replacement pack covers the full tabletop wireless range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the RM-WGL transmitter unit and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell, completed charge termination correctly, and passed the unit's internal battery authentication check without error flags.
  • First-session calibration tip: Run a complete charge cycle before the first meeting. Yamaha's wireless transmitter maps battery state against voltage thresholds during active operation — a freshly installed pack may show inaccurate level warnings until the unit completes one full charge-to-discharge cycle.

Why the RM-WGL drops connection mid-meeting under combined audio and RF draw

The RM-WGL transmitter runs audio processing and RF transmission simultaneously during active conference sessions. This combined draw creates short current spikes that a degraded or deeply discharged cell cannot sustain without voltage sag. When cell voltage dips below the BMS cutoff threshold — typically around 3.0V under load — the unit interrupts the RF link before fully powering down. A fresh 1800mAh pack with a healthy internal resistance restores the voltage headroom needed to handle those spikes cleanly.

Charging dock not registering the new battery after a swap

If the dock shows no charging activity after installing a replacement pack, the most common cause is contact resistance at the dock pins rather than a fault with the cell itself. Oxidation or debris on the battery's contact pads prevents the dock from reading a valid connection. Wipe the gold contacts on both the battery and the dock cradle with a dry cloth, then reseat the unit firmly. If the dock still shows no activity, check that resting cell voltage is above 3.2V — a pack shipped in deep storage may need a low-current pre-charge before the dock circuit recognises it.

Frequently Asked Questions

My RM-WGL won't turn on at all after I installed the new battery — is the pack dead?

Almost certainly not. Lithium-polymer packs shipped in long-term storage can drop below 3.0V, which puts the BMS in deep-discharge lockout — the unit won't power on even though the cell has charge remaining. Connect the unit to the Yamaha charging dock and leave it for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on. Most BMS circuits re-initialise once the cell climbs back above 3.2V.

The battery indicator on the RM-WGL is jumping around and showing low charge right after a full charge — what's wrong?

Nothing is wrong with the pack. Yamaha's transmitter tracks battery state by mapping voltage curves built from its previous cell's history. After a battery swap, that reference data no longer matches the new cell's characteristics, so the indicator reads inaccurate for the first session. Run one complete charge-to-discharge-to-charge cycle under normal conference use and the unit will recalibrate its threshold mapping to the new pack.

The RM-WGL gets noticeably warm during long conference sessions — is that a battery issue?

Sustained audio processing and RF transmission in the enclosed transmitter housing generates heat even with a healthy pack. If warmth appeared suddenly on the original battery, it was likely the degraded cell running high internal resistance under load. With a replacement 1800mAh pack at normal internal resistance, some warmth during extended sessions is expected — check that the unit's ventilation slots are unobstructed and that ambient temperature in the room stays below 35°C.
