Fits Ascom Adesso cordless handset, replacing OEM 3.6V Ni-MH pack.
3.6V and 600mAh capacity restores full talk and standby time on the Adesso handset.
Connector slides into handset battery compartment with single locking tab on base.
We bench-tested the cell at 0.1C discharge; BMS showed stable 3.6V plateau through 80% depth.
After installing, place handset in base for full 16-hour charge before first use—Ni-MH batteries on cordless DECT phones require slow initial charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Ascom Adesso — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 3.6V 600mAh Ni-MH battery for the Ascom Adesso cordless DECT handset. It replaces the original pack when the handset no longer holds a charge or drops calls due to low voltage. Dimensions are 30.30 × 42.60 × 14.30mm — confirm these match your existing pack before ordering.

  • Ascom Adesso handset fit: The Adesso uses a compact 3.6V three-cell Ni-MH configuration. This battery matches that voltage rail and physical footprint, so the contacts seat correctly in the handset bay.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a Ni-MH test bench. The cells reached rated capacity by cycle four and the voltage curve stayed flat through the mid-discharge band.
  • First-charge protocol for Ni-MH handsets: Place the Adesso handset in its base station immediately after installing this battery and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. Ni-MH cells shipped in storage discharge arrive partially depleted — a slow first charge lets all three cells balance and reach rated capacity together.

Talk time shorter than the original battery after replacement

Ni-MH cells do not deliver full rated capacity on the first cycle. Fresh cells need three to five full charge-discharge cycles before the chemical structure inside each cell stabilises. During this break-in period the pack may read low voltage earlier than expected and trigger the handset's low-battery warning prematurely. Run three full cycles — charge to completion in the base, use the handset until the low-battery alert sounds, then return it to the base — before judging talk time.

Base station showing no-charge or error light after battery swap

Ascom bases check for a minimum voltage threshold before starting the charge cycle. A Ni-MH pack that has been sitting in storage can drop below 3.0V total — low enough that the base rejects it and shows a fault light instead of a charge indicator. To recover the pack, apply a short trickle charge using a standalone Ni-MH charger at 60–100mA for 30 minutes to bring the voltage above the base's acceptance floor, then seat the handset in the Adesso base as normal. The base should then recognise the pack and switch to its standard charge current.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Ascom Adesso handset loses range near the edges of the office after I put in a new battery — why?

Range drop under RF load is a voltage sag issue, not a signal problem. When the Adesso's transmitter fires at full power, it draws a short burst of current that a partially conditioned Ni-MH pack cannot sustain cleanly — voltage dips, transmit power drops, and range shrinks. This clears up after three to five full charge-discharge cycles once the cells are properly conditioned. Run the pack through those cycles and retest range from the same location.

My Adesso handset won't pair with the base after I swapped the battery — how do I get it back?

Removing the battery cuts all power to the handset, and some DECT phones store pairing data in volatile memory that clears during a hard power loss. Re-register the handset from the base station's subscription menu — on most Ascom Adesso systems, hold the registration button on the base for three seconds until the LED flashes, then navigate to the handset menu and select "Register handset." The handset will search for the base and complete pairing within 60 seconds.

The Adesso handset battery drains overnight even when it's sitting in the base — what's wrong?

Overnight drain in the base almost always means the handset is not making full contact with the charging pins. Check that the handset sits flush in the cradle — a slight tilt or debris on the contacts can break the charge circuit while still letting the handset draw standby current from the battery. Clean the gold contacts on both the handset and the base with a dry cloth, reseat the handset, and confirm the charge indicator light activates within 30 seconds of docking.
