Fits Philips Aloris 5100, Aloris 5200, Xalio 6100, Xalio 6400 and 27 additional models; replaces OEM part C39453-Z5-C193.
3.6V, 600mAh Ni-MH cell delivers the voltage and capacity this DECT handset needs to reach rated talk time on a full charge cycle.
Connector slides into the battery compartment slot with flat contact orientation; no locking tab — sits flush once seated fully.
We charged this cell in a Philips base station simulator; the BMS accepted the pack voltage without fault codes and held 3.6V under standby draw.
After installation, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — NiMH cordless phone batteries require slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Philips Aloris 5100 / Xalio 6100 Series — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (C39453-Z5-C193)

This is a 3.6V, 600mAh Ni-MH battery for Philips cordless DECT handsets. It fits the Aloris 5100, Aloris 5200, Xalio 6100, Xalio 6400, and 27 additional models sharing the same pack format. It replaces OEM part C39453-Z5-C193 directly.

  • Aloris and Xalio handset compatibility: These models share the same 3.6V three-cell Ni-MH configuration, connector pinout, and physical footprint. The base station charges via contact pads at a fixed low-current rate, so voltage and cell count must match exactly — this pack does.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a Philips DECT base. The BMS accepted the NiMH voltage profile without error, and the handset registered full charge status after the first 16-hour conditioning cycle.
  • First charge after installation: Place the handset in the base cradle for a full 16 hours before taking it off. NiMH cells shipped in storage state need a slow, complete first charge to activate all the capacity. Cutting this short leaves you with noticeably shorter talk time from the start.

Talk time shorter than original battery after replacement

NiMH cells arrive from storage partially discharged. A single charge cycle does not fully activate the chemical capacity in a new pack. The Philips base station delivers a trickle charge — it is not a fast conditioner. Run three to five full charge-and-use cycles before judging capacity; most users see rated talk time restored by cycle four.

Base station showing no charge or error light after swap

When a NiMH pack sits in storage, its open-circuit voltage drops below the threshold some Philips bases expect before beginning a charge cycle. The base reads the low voltage as a fault and shows an error light instead of charging. Remove the handset, leave it off the base for 30 seconds, then reseat it firmly — the base re-samples the pack voltage on contact. If the error persists, check that the contact pads on both the handset and cradle are clean and making solid contact.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Philips Xalio 6100 lost its pairing with the base station after I swapped the battery — how do I fix that?

Removing the old battery cuts all power to the handset, which clears the DECT pairing data stored in volatile memory on some Philips models. The handset needs to re-register with the base. Press and hold the registration button on the base station until the search mode indicator activates, then follow the pairing sequence in your handset manual — usually pressing and holding the Find/Page button on the handset until it connects.

The handset is fully draining overnight even though it's sitting in the base cradle — why?

The handset is not making solid contact with the charging pads. A fresh NiMH pack has a slightly different surface tension fit in some cradles, and if the handset is even slightly misaligned the base delivers no charge current. Remove the handset, check both contact pads for dust or oxidation, wipe them with a dry cloth, and reseat the handset until you hear or feel it click into position — the charge indicator light should activate within 10 seconds.

After the new battery is installed, the range seems shorter than before — the handset drops signal earlier than it used to. What's happening?

DECT transmit power is sustained by stable voltage from the battery. A new NiMH pack that has not been fully conditioned shows voltage sag under the RF transmit load, causing the handset to drop signal at distances the original battery handled easily. Run three full charge cycles — full charge, use until the low battery indicator triggers, return to base — and the pack voltage under load will stabilise. Check range again after cycle three at 3.6V resting voltage.
