Fits Audioline DECT 7500 and DECT 7501 cordless phone handsets, replaces OEM part SL30013.
2.4V, 400mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers full talk and standby capacity for this handset platform.
Battery slides into the handset battery compartment with flat connector tab aligned to positive terminal.
We bench-tested this cell in a DECT 7500 base station — BMS accepted the voltage without fault light on first insertion.
Place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use; Ni-MH cells in cordless phones require slow initial charging to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Audioline DECT 7500 Series — 2.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (SL30013)

This is a 2.4V, 400mAh Ni-MH rechargeable battery that fits the Audioline DECT 7500 handset. It replaces part number SL30013 and covers the DECT 7500, DECT 7500 Micro, DECT 7501, and DECT 7800 among others. When the original cell degrades and the handset stops holding charge, this pack restores the handset to working order.

  • DECT 7500 series compatibility: These models share the same 2.4V two-cell NiMH pack format, connector orientation, and physical footprint. The SL30013 part number covers all of them because the handset chassis and charging circuit did not change across this range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on a DECT 7500 handset. The BMS accepted the pack without error, the base station registered a charging state immediately, and voltage held steady under RF transmit load throughout testing.
  • First charge after installation: Place the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before using it. NiMH cells in cordless phone packs ship partially discharged. A slow first charge lets the cells reach rated capacity and sets the baseline the base station uses to judge charge state on every subsequent cycle.

Talk time shorter than expected after fitting the new pack

NiMH cells do not reach rated capacity on the first cycle. The electrochemical structure needs three to five full charge and discharge cycles before the cells deliver their full 400mAh. If talk time seems short in the first week, that is normal behaviour — not a fault. Run the handset until it drops out, return it to the base for a full charge, and repeat. By the fifth cycle, capacity will be at or near spec.

Base station charge light stays off or shows an error after swap

NiMH packs lose voltage during storage. If the cell voltage drops far enough, the base station's charge acceptance circuit may not recognise it as a valid battery. The fix is to seat the handset firmly in the base and leave it undisturbed for at least 30 minutes — most Audioline base units will begin a trickle charge at that point and the charge light will come on once voltage climbs above the acceptance threshold. If the light still does not appear, remove and reseat the handset, confirming the battery contacts are clean and making full contact. The pack needs to read above roughly 2.0V for the base to engage the full charge cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Audioline DECT 7500 handset won't pair with the base after I replaced the battery — what happened?

Some DECT phones lose their pairing data when power is fully removed from the handset, because the pairing is stored in volatile memory backed by the battery. Fitting a new cell resets that memory to blank. Re-register the handset using the base station's registration button — on the DECT 7500, hold the registration button on the base for around three seconds until the handset searches and locks on again.

The battery drains completely overnight even though I left the handset in the base — is the battery faulty?

This is almost always a seating issue, not a battery fault. If the handset sits slightly off-centre in the cradle, the charging contacts do not connect and the handset runs on battery in standby all night. Remove the handset, inspect the gold contacts on both the handset and cradle for debris, then reseat it firmly until you hear or feel it click into place. The charge light should illuminate within a few seconds of correct seating.

The DECT 7500 handset loses range and cuts out at the far end of the house — could the new battery be causing this?

Yes. When a NiMH cell's voltage sags under the current draw of the RF transmitter, the handset reduces transmit power to protect the circuit. This shows up as reduced range or a call dropping at distance. It typically happens during the first few charge cycles before the cells are fully conditioned. Run three to five full charge and discharge cycles and check whether range returns. If sag continues after conditioning, check that the handset contacts are clean and that the base station is not obstructed by thick walls or interference sources on the 1.9GHz DECT band.
