Fits Memorex MPH-6925 cordless phone handsets; replaces OEM battery part numbers BT-904 and BP-904.
2.4V and 1500mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers full talk and standby time on the MPH-6925 handset platform.
Connector slides into the handset battery slot with no locking tab — orientation marked on housing.
We bench-tested this cell on a MPH-6925 base charger; BMS accepted voltage within two charge cycles of unboxing.
Place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — Ni-MH cordless phone batteries need a slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Memorex MPH-6925 — 2.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (BT-904)

This is a 2.4V, 1500mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Memorex MPH-6925 cordless phone handset. It replaces OEM part numbers BT-904 and BP-904. When the original pack no longer holds a charge, this battery restores the handset to normal operation.

  • MPH-6925 handset fit: The MPH-6925 uses a 2.4V dual-cell Ni-MH pack in a compact sled form. The connector orientation and cell spacing match this handset's battery bay — no adapter or modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge runs on a 2.4V Ni-MH test rig. The BMS accepted charge without voltage-drop rejection errors, and capacity output tracked within spec across repeat cycles.
  • First-charge protocol for Ni-MH cordless handsets: After installing, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. Ni-MH cells shipped from storage are partially discharged — a slow initial charge lets the pack reach its rated 1500mAh capacity. Skipping this step means the first few cycles will show lower-than-expected talk time.

Base station showing no charge light on a new Ni-MH pack

Some MPH-6925 base stations use a delta-peak detection circuit to confirm charging — this circuit looks for a small voltage rise before signalling a charge state. A new Ni-MH pack shipped from storage can sit at 1.8–2.0V, below the threshold the base expects to see. The base interprets this as a fault rather than a flat battery. Leaving the handset seated for 30–60 minutes usually brings cell voltage up enough for the base to recognise the pack and switch to active charging.

Talk time shorter than expected after the first few uses

Ni-MH cells need three to five full charge-discharge cycles before they reach rated capacity — this is a chemistry characteristic, not a defect. On cycle one, you may get noticeably less talk time than the original battery delivered at its peak. Each subsequent full cycle conditions the cells and extends available capacity. By cycle four or five, output should stabilise at or near the rated 1500mAh.

Frequently Asked Questions

My MPH-6925 handset lost its pairing to the base right after I swapped the battery — how do I fix this?

Removing the battery cuts all power to the handset, and some DECT cordless phones drop their registration when power is fully interrupted. The handset needs to re-pair with the base from scratch. Put the handset on the base for the full initial 16-hour charge first, then follow the MPH-6925 manual's handset registration steps — usually a button hold on the base unit for three seconds followed by a confirmation press on the handset.

The handset shows low battery and shuts off even though it's been sitting in the base all day — what's happening?

This is usually a seating issue, not a battery fault. The MPH-6925 base charges through contact pins, and if the handset isn't fully clicked into the cradle, the circuit stays open. Check that the handset sits flush with no gap at the bottom. Also wipe the contact pins on both the handset and base with a dry cloth — oxidation on the pins causes intermittent or zero charge transfer even when the handset looks seated correctly.

After replacing the battery, the MPH-6925 handset has noticeably less range than before — is the battery causing this?

Yes, a low Ni-MH pack directly affects transmit power. The MPH-6925 radio circuit draws more current during transmission than during standby, and if the cells haven't been conditioned yet, voltage sags under that RF load. The handset responds by reducing transmit output, which cuts range. Run three to five complete charge-discharge cycles and check whether range recovers — by cycle five, cell voltage under load should stabilise above 2.2V and restore normal transmission strength.
