Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sanyo 60AAAH3BJ22 / CLT2402 / CLT2412 — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery
This is a 3.6V, 700mAh Ni-MH battery pack for Sanyo cordless phone handsets including the 60AAAH3BJ22, CLT2402, CLT2403, CLT2412, and 22 additional compatible models. It replaces the original cell when the handset can no longer hold a charge through a full call or standby period. Dimensions are 45.90 x 31.20 x 10.70mm — measure your existing pack before ordering if your model isn't listed.
- CLT-series handset fit: The CLT2402, CLT2403, and CLT2412 share the same 3.6V three-cell NiMH configuration and connector orientation. Swapping chemistry or cell count breaks the base station's charge termination logic, so the Ni-MH spec here is not interchangeable with Li-ion alternatives.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a cordless phone base station. The NiMH cells accepted trickle charge at the base's termination voltage without triggering an error state, and voltage held stable under simulated talk-load draw.
- First charge after installation: After fitting this battery, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. NiMH cells shipped in a partial state need that slow initial charge to reach rated 700mAh capacity — shorter charges in the first few cycles will make talk time appear lower than expected.
Base station showing no charge or error light on a new NiMH pack
NiMH batteries lose voltage during storage. If a pack sits in a warehouse for several months, its resting voltage can drop below the threshold the base station uses to confirm a valid battery is present. Some Sanyo bases interpret this low-voltage state as a missing or faulty cell and refuse to begin charging. The fix is to briefly charge the pack externally — or in a second compatible handset that will accept a deeply discharged NiMH — to bring the voltage above the base's acceptance floor, typically around 3.0V, before seating it in the primary handset.
Range drops noticeably during calls after a battery swap
Reduced range after fitting a new battery usually points to voltage sag under RF transmit load, not a faulty battery. When a NiMH pack hasn't completed its first conditioning cycles, internal resistance is higher, and the cell voltage dips when the handset's radio fires. That voltage drop causes the transmitter to back off power, cutting effective range. Run three to five full charge-and-use cycles — not just top-up charges — and internal resistance will drop to operating spec, restoring normal transmit voltage and range.

Frequently Asked Questions
Talk time is much shorter than the original battery — is something wrong with the new pack?
Nothing is wrong. NiMH cells don't reach rated capacity until they've been through three to five full charge-and-discharge cycles. The first cycle out of storage typically delivers noticeably less talk time than the 700mAh rating. Run the handset until it needs charging, then place it in the base for a full charge — repeat this at least three times and talk time will increase each cycle.
The handset lost its pairing with the base after the battery was removed — how do I fix this?
Some Sanyo DECT handsets store pairing data in volatile memory that clears when power is fully removed. Fitting a new battery triggers this. Re-register the handset through the base station's pairing or registration mode — usually accessed by holding the page or find button on the base for five seconds until the handset searches and locks back onto the base.
The battery drains completely overnight even though the handset is sitting in the base — what causes that?
Overnight drain almost always means the handset isn't making solid contact with the base charging pins. Check that the handset is fully seated and that the charge indicator light on the base or handset activates. Dirty or oxidised charging contacts on either the handset or base can break the circuit — clean both with a dry cotton swab. If the charge indicator confirms charging but the pack still drains overnight, the handset's standby draw may exceed the base's trickle-charge output, which points to a fault in the base rather than the battery.
