This is a 3.6V, 700mAh Ni-MH replacement battery using BYD part numbers H-AAA550BX3 and H-AAA600BX3. It fits cordless DECT phone handsets that use this AAA-format triple-cell pack. Check your handset battery compartment or original pack for either part number before ordering.

NiMH cells self-discharge during storage. By the time a replacement pack reaches the handset, cell voltage can drop low enough that the base station's charge controller rejects it. Most DECT bases require a minimum pack voltage before the charging circuit activates. If the charge LED does not come on, remove the handset, wait 30 seconds, and reseat it firmly. If the base still shows no charge, confirm resting pack voltage is above 3.0V before returning the unit.

Range drops noticeably when the NiMH pack voltage sags under RF load

DECT handsets transmit in short radio bursts. Each burst draws a spike of current that causes NiMH voltage to sag momentarily. When the pack is low or not yet conditioned, that voltage sag crosses the handset's transmit threshold and the RF output power drops — which the user experiences as reduced range or choppy audio. This is not a pairing issue or a base station fault. Run three to five full charge and discharge cycles to condition the pack, and confirm resting voltage reads at or above 3.6V after a full charge.
