Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Ericsson DT412 V2 / DT422 V2 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BKB 902 44/1)
This 3.7V, 700mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Ericsson DT412 V2 and DT422 V2 DECT cordless phone handsets. It matches the OEM voltage rail and physical footprint, so it seats and contacts correctly in the battery compartment. Capacity is 700mAh (2.59Wh), matching the original specification.
- DT412 V2 and DT422 V2 compatibility: Both handsets share the same battery bay dimensions, contact layout, and 3.7V supply requirement. The BKB 902 44/1 pack fits either model without modification to the compartment or contacts.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the DT412 V2 platform. The handset accepted charge from the base station without error, and the BMS held within the expected voltage window across the full cycle.
- First charge on the DT412 V2 base: After installing this battery, seat the handset in the base cradle and leave it there for a full 16 hours before first use. Li-ion cells shipped in storage mode need a complete initial charge cycle to reach rated capacity — pulling the handset off early will reduce available charge on that first session.
Talk time shorter than the original battery after replacement
A freshly installed Li-ion cell often delivers noticeably less talk time on its first two or three cycles. The cell ships partially discharged for transport safety, and the BMS calibration hasn't yet tracked a full charge-to-depletion curve on your specific handset. Run three complete cycles — full charge in the base, then use the handset until the low battery indicator triggers — before judging capacity. By cycle three, the reported and actual capacity figures align, and talk time stabilises at the rated 700mAh level.
Handset not pairing with the base after battery swap
Removing the battery from a DECT handset cuts all power to the radio module, and some Ericsson DT-series units lose their base station pairing when power is fully interrupted. The handset will power on after the new battery is installed but show no line or signal. To re-register, hold the handset's menu or find button until the display enters registration mode, then trigger the registration sequence from the base station — typically a dedicated button held for three seconds. Once re-paired, the handset operates normally.

Frequently Asked Questions
The base station charge light stays off after I put in the new battery — what's wrong?
A Li-ion cell shipped from storage can sit at or below 3.0V, which is below the acceptance threshold some Ericsson base stations use before they begin a charge cycle. Place the handset firmly in the base and leave it undisturbed for 30 minutes — the base station's trickle pre-charge circuit will bring the cell up to the activation voltage before switching to normal charge. If the light still doesn't come on after 30 minutes, reseat the handset and confirm the contacts on both the battery and the compartment are clean and making full contact.
Range dropped noticeably right after swapping the battery — same spot in the house now cuts out.
The DT412 V2 transmit circuit draws a short current spike every time the radio module fires. If the battery voltage sags under that RF load — common in the first cycle or two when the cell hasn't yet reached full charge — the handset pulls back transmit power to protect the circuit, and range drops as a result. Fully charge the handset in the base for 16 hours, then test range again. After a complete first charge the cell holds voltage more firmly under the RF spike, and range returns to normal.
Battery drains completely overnight even though the handset is sitting in the base.
This points to the handset not making a solid electrical connection with the base cradle contacts rather than a fault with the battery itself. A new battery is slightly thicker than a worn original, and the compartment cover may not be pressing the pack firmly enough against the handset's charge contacts. Remove the battery, reseat it, close the cover until it clicks, then place the handset back in the base — verify the charge indicator lights immediately. If the cover isn't fully latched, the handset runs on battery rather than drawing from the base, and a 700mAh cell will deplete overnight on standby draw alone.
