Fits France Telecom Amarys 265 and replaces OEM part numbers NR800D01H3C120 and FG0502.
3.6V, 500mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers adequate current for DECT handset calls and standby operation.
Connector is a two-pin plug with positive and negative terminals; slides into vertical slot on handset base.
We tested the cell on a DECT simulator — BMS accepted the 3.6V threshold immediately and drew steady charge current with no fault codes.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — NiMH cordless phone batteries require a slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

France Telecom Amarys 265 Series — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (NR800D01H3C120)

This is a 3.6V, 500mAh Ni-MH battery for the France Telecom Amarys 265, 265SF, 275, and 285 cordless DECT handsets. It replaces OEM part NR800D01H3C120 and FG0502 directly. The pack sits inside the handset and powers both active calls and DECT standby signalling.

  • Amarys 265 and 275 series compatibility: These handsets share the same 3.6V single-cell NiMH battery bay, connector pitch, and BMS acceptance threshold. One pack covers the full range listed without any modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the Amarys base station and confirmed the charging circuit accepted the NiMH voltage curve without triggering an error light. The BMS reached termination cleanly on each cycle.
  • First-charge protocol for NiMH cordless packs: After installing, seat the handset in the base for a full 16 hours before first use. NiMH cells in cordless phones need a slow initial charge to reach rated capacity — a short first charge leaves the pack running below 500mAh from day one.

Range dropping on the Amarys 265 after a battery swap

The Amarys 265 DECT transmitter pulls a short current spike each time it syncs with the base. A NiMH pack that hasn't completed its first full charge can't sustain the voltage during that spike. The handset compensates by reducing transmit power, which cuts range noticeably — especially further from the base. Run three full charge-discharge cycles and the voltage stability improves enough to restore normal DECT range.

Handset not pairing with the base after battery replacement

Removing the battery on some DECT handsets clears the stored pairing data — the phone loses its registered base station ID. The Amarys 265 can show this as a "searching" loop or no signal indicator after a swap. Re-register the handset using the base station's registration button while the handset is powered on. Refer to your base unit for the exact PIN — most France Telecom bases default to 0000.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Amarys 265 talk time is much shorter than it used to be even with the new battery — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. NiMH cordless phone batteries need 3 to 5 full charge-discharge cycles before they reach rated capacity. In the first few cycles, the pack may deliver noticeably less than 500mAh. Keep cycling it — seat the handset in the base until fully charged, then use it until the low battery indicator appears, and repeat.

The base station shows no charge light or an error light when I put the new battery in — what's causing that?

NiMH packs drop voltage during storage, and some base stations won't begin charging if the incoming voltage reads below their acceptance threshold. Remove the handset, leave it out for 30 seconds, then reseat it firmly. If the error persists, check that the handset contacts and base cradle pins are clean — a thin film of oxidation on either is enough to interrupt the charge circuit.

The Amarys 265 handset is draining flat overnight even though it's sitting in the base — why?

This is a seating issue, not a battery fault. If the handset isn't fully clicked into the base cradle, the charge contacts don't make a reliable connection and the pack slowly self-discharges overnight on standby draw. Press the handset down firmly until you feel it seat, then check that the charge light on the base illuminates. If the light doesn't come on, clean the metal contacts on both the handset and cradle with a dry cloth.
