Fits Snom M3, M9, M9R cordless handsets; replaces OEM part 00001595.
3.7V, 900mAh lithium-ion cell delivers full talk time on DECT base stations.
Connector slides into handset battery slot with single retention tab; polarity marked.
We bench-tested on M3 base station — BMS accepted charge within first cycle.
After install, place handset in base for 16 hours before first use; lithium cells in DECT handsets need a slow conditioning charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Snom M3 / M9 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (00001595)

This 3.7V, 900mAh lithium-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Snom M3, M9, M9R, and M9R-HC cordless DECT handsets. It matches the OEM voltage and physical dimensions (53.13 × 33.96 × 4.77mm), so it seats correctly in the handset battery compartment. When the original cell degrades and talk time drops noticeably, this is the direct replacement.

  • M3, M9, M9R, and M9R-HC fit: These handsets share the same battery footprint, connector orientation, and 3.7V supply rail. No modification is needed — the cell slots in and the BMS handshake completes normally with the base station charge circuit.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the M9 platform. The BMS accepted charge from the base station cradle on the first insertion, voltage climbed steadily to 4.2V, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
  • First charge after installation: Place the handset in the base cradle immediately after fitting this battery and leave it for a full 16 hours before use. Li-ion cells shipped in partial state of charge need that initial full cycle to calibrate correctly with the handset's charge management circuit.

Talk time shorter than the original battery after replacement

A fresh Li-ion cell often delivers slightly less usable capacity in the first one to three cycles. The handset's charge circuit hasn't yet mapped the new cell's full charge curve. Run two or three complete charge-and-use cycles — each time, use the handset until it signals low battery, then return it to the cradle for a full charge. By cycle three, capacity stabilises at the rated 900mAh.

Base station shows no charge light or flashes an error after battery swap

This happens when the replacement cell arrives from storage at a voltage below the base station's charge acceptance threshold — typically below 3.0V. The cradle interprets a deeply discharged cell as a fault rather than initiating a recovery charge. Connect the handset to a USB power source using a compatible cable for 10–15 minutes to raise the cell above 3.2V, then return it to the base cradle. The charge indicator should then activate normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Snom M9R handset won't pair with the base station after I replaced the battery — did the swap wipe the pairing?

Yes, removing power from the handset can clear the DECT pairing registration on some Snom models. The handset loses its stored link to the base when the battery is fully disconnected. Re-register the handset through the base station menu — on the M9 platform, hold the paging button on the base for three seconds, then initiate registration from the handset's settings menu within 60 seconds.

The handset battery drains completely overnight even when it's sitting in the base cradle — what's causing that?

The most common cause is an incomplete seat in the cradle — if the handset isn't making clean contact with the charging pins, the base shows the handset as docked but delivers no charge current. Lift the handset out, check the charging contacts on both the handset base and the cradle for debris or oxidation, then reseat it firmly. Confirm charge is flowing by checking that the charge indicator activates within 30 seconds of docking.

Range on my Snom M3 dropped noticeably after fitting the new battery — is the battery the cause?

DECT transmit power on the M3 handset is drawn directly from the battery supply rail. If the replacement cell's voltage sags under RF load — common in the first few cycles before the cell is conditioned — the handset reduces transmit power to compensate, cutting range. Run two full charge cycles and retest range. If the drop persists beyond cycle three, check that the battery contacts inside the handset compartment are clean and making firm contact with the cell terminals.
