This is a 3.7V, 1800mAh Li-ion battery for Huawei cordless DECT handsets including the F530, FP515H, F501, and F516. It replaces OEM part numbers HBMAAF and HBL5AF. Fit the battery and the handset returns to normal operation on its existing base station.

Range dropping on the F530 after a battery swap

DECT transmit power on the F530 is voltage-dependent. When a partially charged or partially degraded cell sags below roughly 3.5V under RF load, the handset reduces transmit power to stay within safe operating limits. This looks like poor range but the handset is working correctly. A full charge cycle brings cell voltage back up and restores normal transmit power across the full coverage area.

Handset not pairing with base after battery replacement

Removing the battery from a Huawei DECT handset cuts all power to the pairing memory on some firmware versions. When power is restored with the new cell, the handset may not reconnect to the base automatically. To re-pair, hold the handset's page or locate button for 5–10 seconds while the base is powered on — this triggers a fresh DECT registration. Check your base station model's manual for the exact button sequence, but the fix is a standard re-registration, not a fault with the battery.

My F530 handset shows a full battery but the call drops after a few minutes — what's happening?

A freshly installed Li-ion cell can cause the F530's fuel gauge to misread state of charge if the first charge cycle was interrupted or cut short. The handset reports full because the gauge wasn't calibrated against the new cell's actual capacity. Place the handset in the base, let it complete one full uninterrupted charge, then discharge it through normal use and charge again — two full cycles usually corrects the indicator and restores accurate reporting.

The base station charge light doesn't come on after I fitted the new battery — is the base broken?

Most likely the cell voltage dropped during storage, and the base station's charge circuit won't engage below its acceptance threshold. Remove the handset, wait 30 seconds, and reseat it firmly — a loose contact can mimic a charge refusal. If the light still doesn't activate, the cell may need a brief recovery: some Huawei base stations have a trickle-charge mode that kicks in after 2–3 minutes once the handset is correctly seated and the contacts are clean.

My F530 is draining completely overnight even when it's sitting in the base — why?

This is a seating issue, not a battery fault. If the handset isn't fully clicked into the base cradle, the charging contacts don't make a solid connection and the handset runs entirely off the battery in standby. Check that the handset sits flush with no gap at the base — you should hear or feel a slight click. If seating is correct and drain continues, clean the gold charging contacts on both the handset and base with a dry cloth, then re-seat and verify the charge indicator light is active.
