Fits Swissvoice Iron cordless phone handset; replaces OEM battery 3.7V Li-ion pack.
3.7V 500mAh Li-ion delivers full handset runtime on a single charge cycle.
Connector slides onto the handset battery contacts with no locking tab required.
Bench testing showed clean voltage ramp from 2.8V to 4.2V; BMS accepted base station charge immediately.
Place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge cycle before first use — Li-ion cells in DECT phones need slow initial charging to establish proper voltage regulation in the base circuit.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Swissvoice Iron — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V 500mAh Li-ion battery for the Swissvoice Iron cordless phone handset. It slots into the handset to restore power after the original cell has lost the ability to hold charge. Voltage and form factor match the Iron's power circuit directly.

  • Swissvoice Iron handset fit: The Iron handset runs a single-cell Li-ion supply rail at 3.7V nominal. This cell matches that rail. The BMS in the handset reads cell voltage on contact — a mismatched voltage causes an immediate rejection or no-charge state.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a Li-ion test rig. The protection circuit cut off correctly at low-voltage threshold and the cell accepted a full charge without thermal event or BMS trip.
  • First charge after fitting: Li-ion cells in storage ship at a partial state of charge. After fitting this battery in the Iron, seat the handset in the base and allow a complete uninterrupted charge before making calls — this lets the BMS calibrate its charge endpoint accurately.

Talk time shorter than expected after fitting a new cell

A new Li-ion cell shipped from storage has not been through a full charge-discharge cycle. The BMS has no accurate baseline for the cell's capacity yet. For the first two to three cycles, the handset may cut out earlier than the rated capacity suggests. By the third full cycle, the BMS recalibrates and talk time reaches the cell's actual rated output.

Swissvoice Iron handset not pairing after battery replacement

Removing the original battery cuts all power to the handset, including the volatile memory that stores the DECT pairing key. Some Iron handsets lose their base station pairing when power is fully interrupted. To restore it, hold the handset's page or find button for five seconds near the base, then press the registration button on the base station. The handset will re-register and resume normal operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Swissvoice Iron handset shows a charge icon on the base but the battery still goes flat within hours — what's wrong?

A Li-ion cell that has deeply discharged in storage can sit below the base station's charge acceptance threshold, so the base shows a charging indicator but delivers little to no current. Seat the handset in the base for a full uninterrupted overnight charge on the first cycle. If the cell voltage was very low on arrival, the BMS may need that extended contact time to allow the trickle pre-charge stage to bring it up to the main charge voltage of 4.2V before fast charging begins.

The Swissvoice Iron drops calls or sounds muffled near the edges of the house — could that be the battery?

Yes. The Iron's DECT transmitter draws a short, sharp burst of current every time it transmits. If the cell voltage sags under that RF load, transmit power drops and the signal weakens before the handset fully disconnects. This usually happens when the battery is below 30% charge. Charge the handset fully and test range again — if the drop-out point moves further from the base, the cell is healthy and the issue is voltage sag under load, not a hardware fault.

The Swissvoice Iron handset drains completely overnight even when sitting in the base — is this the battery or the base?

A fully seated handset in a working base should trickle-charge overnight, not drain. If the battery goes flat, the handset is not making proper contact with the base charging pins. Remove the handset, check that the gold charging contacts on both the handset and base are clean and free of dust or corrosion, then reseat it firmly. If the contacts are clean and the drain continues, measure the voltage across the handset contacts with a multimeter — a reading below 4.0V after a full night confirms the base is not delivering charge.
