Some DECT base stations check terminal voltage before initiating a charge cycle. The base reads this as a fault rather than an empty battery and refuses to charge. To recover, confirm the handset contacts are clean and seated correctly, then leave it in the cradle undisturbed. Most base stations will trickle-charge a low pack up to the acceptance threshold within 30–60 minutes before switching to normal charge mode.

Reduced range after a battery replacement is usually a voltage-sag issue, not a pairing or antenna fault.
