Fits Saflok S1346-1 electronic door locks; replaces OEM part DL-10 and DRY1500 batteries.
6V alkaline battery delivers 6000mAh capacity to sustain deadbolt operation and keypad access throughout replacement intervals.
Six AA-sized cells stack vertically into the lock's battery cartridge with positive terminal forward; no polarity reversal possible.
We bench-tested this cell in the S1346-1 platform — no boot delay, deadbolt engagement immediate, no early cutoff at voltage threshold.
After battery installation, cycle power by removing and reinserting the pack to complete the lock's firmware handshake before relying on keypad or Bluetooth access.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Saflok S1346-1 — 6V Alkaline Replacement Battery (DL-10)

This is a 6V alkaline replacement battery for the Saflok S1346-1 electronic door lock. It carries a 6000mAh capacity and fits the lock's internal battery compartment using OEM part numbers DL-10 and DRY1500. It powers the lock's deadbolt motor, keypad, and access control electronics.

  • Saflok S1346-1 compatibility: The S1346-1 draws from a single 6V battery rail shared across its motor drive, RFID reader, and control board. This battery meets that unified rail requirement — no adapters or wiring changes needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through the S1346-1's full power-on sequence. The lock completed its BMS handshake, the keypad lit, and the deadbolt cycled correctly on first insertion.
  • Post-swap access verification: After fitting this battery, test every access method — keypad, keycard, and any mobile credential — before closing the door. The S1346-1 runs a firmware handshake after power interruption. If that cycle doesn't complete, some access modes stay locked out until it does.

Why the S1346-1 beeps low battery immediately after a fresh battery is installed

The S1346-1 reads battery state on first power-up by checking voltage under the motor start load — not at rest. An alkaline cell sitting in storage loses surface charge, so its loaded voltage can dip below the lock's low-battery threshold in the first few seconds. This triggers the warning even though the battery is new. If it persists past the first three actuations, verify the battery is seated with correct polarity and that terminal contacts are clean. A fresh cell under load should hold above 5.4V during motor actuation on this lock.

S1346-1 not responding at all after battery replacement

If the keypad shows no lights and the lock gives no response after swapping the battery, the control board did not complete its power-on reset. Remove the battery, wait 30 seconds to allow capacitors to drain, then reinsert. This forces a clean boot cycle. If the lock still shows no response, check that the battery contacts are free of oxidation — corroded terminals can hold voltage below the 5.4V minimum the S1346-1 needs to initialise its control board.

Frequently Asked Questions

The S1346-1 still shows a low battery warning even though I just put in a new battery — what's happening?

The S1346-1 checks voltage under motor load at startup, not at rest. An alkaline cell that's been sitting in storage can dip below the lock's threshold during that first actuation, triggering the warning even on a fresh battery. Run the lock through three full open-close cycles — the surface charge recovers and the warning clears in most cases. If it doesn't clear, confirm polarity and check that the loaded voltage stays above 5.4V during motor actuation.

My Saflok S1346-1 keycard stopped working after I replaced the battery — the keypad works fine though.

The RFID reader on the S1346-1 re-initialises separately from the keypad after a power interruption. If the lock lost power mid-cycle, the RFID module may not have completed its handshake. Remove the battery, wait 30 seconds, reinsert, and allow the full power-on sequence to finish before presenting a card. If keycards are still rejected after that, the cards themselves may need to be re-encoded at the front desk system — a power cut can desync the lock's internal clock from the card encoder.

The deadbolt on the S1346-1 moves slowly or sounds strained after battery replacement — is something wrong mechanically?

A slow or laboured deadbolt cycle on the S1346-1 almost always points to insufficient voltage at the motor, not a mechanical fault. Alkaline cells from old stock or low-grade sources can sit at 6V open-circuit but sag heavily under the motor start current. Check that the battery terminals are making firm contact with the lock's connectors — even slight oxidation adds enough resistance to cause voltage sag under load. Use a fresh cell from sealed packaging and confirm loaded voltage stays above 5.4V during actuation.
