Fits Belkin Bluetooth GPS Receiver model, replaces OEM part 300-203712001.
3.7V 900mAh lithium-ion cell delivers rated capacity for full navigation runtime on this portable unit.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot; verify the locking tab seats flush before closing the compartment.
We bench-tested this cell in the Belkin platform; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion with no fault codes.
After installation, power the GPS fully on outdoors and allow it to acquire a satellite fix before navigation — cold start after battery swap takes 5–10 minutes for initial lock versus under a minute for warm starts.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Belkin Bluetooth GPS Receiver — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (300-203712001)

This 3.7V 900mAh Li-ion cell replaces the internal battery in the Belkin Bluetooth GPS Receiver. That device pairs wirelessly with smartphones and tablets to deliver real-time location data without a built-in screen. When the original cell degrades, the receiver loses its ability to hold charge and drops sessions mid-navigation.

  • Belkin Bluetooth GPS Receiver fit: This compact receiver runs its Bluetooth radio and SiRF GPS chipset from a single low-voltage Li-ion cell. The 3.7V nominal rail and physical footprint of 52.90 × 32.50 × 7.50mm match the OEM cell directly. No wiring modifications are needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS held the charge termination voltage at 4.2V and protected against over-discharge below 3.0V without tripping prematurely under the receiver's combined GPS and Bluetooth draw.
  • Cold-start satellite acquisition after fitting: After any full power removal, the GPS receiver loses its ephemeris data and must perform a cold start. Take the device outdoors immediately after fitting the new cell and power it on. First satellite fix takes 5–10 minutes. Subsequent warm starts run under a minute once the almanac is rebuilt.

GPS accuracy dropping at low battery on the Belkin receiver

The SiRF-based chipset in this receiver pulls more current during active satellite tracking than during position hold. At low cell voltage — typically below 3.4V — the receiver reduces RF front-end sensitivity to stay within power budget. That reduction narrows the satellite pool it can lock onto, which degrades position accuracy. Keeping the cell above 3.6V during active use maintains full receiver sensitivity and HDOP values.

Device shutting off without any low-battery warning

An aged original cell develops internal resistance that causes voltage to sag rapidly under the combined Bluetooth and GPS load. The BMS cutoff threshold triggers before the device's low-battery indicator has time to display. The result is an abrupt shutdown with no warning. A new cell with lower internal resistance eliminates that voltage sag, and the low-battery indicator will appear correctly before cutoff — typically at 3.5V under load.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Belkin GPS receiver shut off and now shows a solid red light — did the new battery arrive dead?

A solid red charge indicator after installation usually means the cell discharged below the BMS re-initialisation threshold during storage. Plug the receiver into its charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power it on. The BMS needs to see a trickle charge input before it will allow normal discharge. If the indicator shifts to amber or green within that window, the cell is recovering normally.

Saved routes and paired device settings are gone after fitting the replacement battery — is that normal?

Yes. The Belkin Bluetooth GPS Receiver stores pairing records and any cached route data in volatile memory backed by the original cell. Removing the old cell completely clears that memory. Re-pair the receiver to your phone via Bluetooth settings and re-enter any navigation preferences in your mapping app. Nothing in the new battery affects this — it is a one-time side effect of full power removal.

Active navigation is draining this battery noticeably faster than standby — what causes that?

During active navigation, the GPS chipset continuously recalculates position and the Bluetooth radio streams NMEA data to the connected device at a higher packet rate than it does in idle. That combined draw can be three to four times the standby current. This is expected behaviour, not a fault with the cell. If drain still seems excessive, check that the connected phone's mapping app is not also requesting GPS updates at maximum frequency — reducing the app's update interval lowers the receiver's active duty cycle.
