Fits Ezviz DP1S, DP1C, and DP1 wireless cameras; replaces OEM part H866281P.
3.8V, 6800mAh lithium-polymer cell supplies sustained power for motion detection and night vision operation without midstream shutdowns.
Connector seats vertically into the camera's battery slot with a locking tab that clicks once fully inserted and seated.
We bench-tested this cell at 3.8V nominal with BMS responding correctly to IR LED current spikes during motion trigger cycles.
On first install, power cycle the camera through the Ezviz app once — firmware must re-register the new cell before motion recording logs correctly to cloud storage.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Ezviz DP1S / DP1C / DP1 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (H866281P)

This 3.8V, 6800mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original H866281P battery in the Ezviz DP1S, DP1C, and DP1 wireless smart doorbell cameras. All three models share the same battery bay, connector, and BMS handshake protocol. Capacity is 6800mAh (25.84Wh) — matching the original spec exactly.

  • DP1S, DP1C, and DP1 compatibility: All three variants run the same 3.8V power rail, use the same physical connector, and communicate with the camera's BMS over the same signal line — one cell fits all three without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled the H866281P replacement through motion-trigger sequences and sustained IR LED loads. The BMS held stable under the combined current draw of the processor wake and IR array without tripping into protection mode.
  • First-install power cycle: After fitting the new cell, power cycle the camera once through the Ezviz app. The firmware must register the new battery before motion events log correctly to cloud storage — skipping this step can cause missed clips on first-day recordings.

Camera going offline in the Ezviz app after battery swap

Swapping the battery clears the camera's active session token. The Ezviz app loses its authenticated connection and marks the device offline, even when the camera has power and a strong WiFi signal. This is a firmware handshake issue, not a fault with the replacement cell. Open the Ezviz app, navigate to the device settings, and trigger a manual restart — the camera re-registers within 60 seconds and comes back online at its current voltage reading.

App reporting 0% or incorrect charge percentage after installation

The DP1S uses a voltage-threshold indicator — not a fuel gauge IC — to estimate charge level. When a new cell arrives partially discharged from storage, the voltage may sit in a range the firmware maps to 0% or an erratic figure. This corrects itself after one full charge cycle. Charge the camera to full, then let it discharge through normal motion-trigger use before trusting the percentage shown in the app.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Ezviz DP1S stops recording mid-clip — what's cutting it off?

A mid-clip dropout on the DP1S is usually a BMS protection trip caused by the current spike when the camera reconnects to WiFi after a brief signal drop. The BMS sees a combined processor-plus-radio load that exceeds its threshold and shuts output momentarily, ending the clip. Check your router signal at the camera's location — if it's below two bars, move the router closer or add a repeater. A stable WiFi connection eliminates the reconnect surge that triggers the cutoff.

Night vision stops working and the camera appears to go to sleep overnight — is the battery draining too fast?

The sustained draw of the IR LED array during long dark periods can push the cell toward the BMS low-voltage cutoff if the battery has significant capacity fade. With a fresh 6800mAh replacement, this load is well within spec. If night vision still drops out, check the motion sensitivity setting in the Ezviz app — setting it too low means the camera stays in constant active mode rather than brief triggered bursts, which accelerates overnight drain. Reduce the sensitivity one step and monitor over the next 48 hours.

The solar panel I have connected isn't recharging the DP1S battery — why?

Solar panels require their output voltage to exceed the BMS re-entry threshold before charging begins. In low-light or winter conditions, panel output can fall below 4.2V, and the BMS will not accept a charge — the camera simply continues drawing from the cell with no top-up. Verify the panel is rated for at least 5V output and is positioned for direct sun exposure for a minimum of four hours per day. If the cell has discharged below 3.0V, remove it and charge via USB-C first to bring it above the BMS recovery threshold before reconnecting the solar panel.
