Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Hikvision DS-2XS2T46XM — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (B0724)
This 3.7V, 10400mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original B0724 cell in the Hikvision DS-2XS2T46XM wire-free security camera. It powers the camera's onboard processor, IR LEDs, and wireless module through each wake-sleep cycle. Capacity is taken directly from product data at 38.48Wh.
- DS-2XS2T46XM cell match: The DS-2XS2T46XM runs its processor, PIR sensor, and IR array from a single 3.7V cell. The BMS on this camera checks cell voltage at boot — a mismatched voltage rail prevents the camera from completing its startup handshake with Hik-Connect.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through motion-trigger events and monitored BMS response during the combined IR LED and WiFi transmission spike. The cell held voltage above the BMS low-cutoff threshold across repeated short-interval triggers.
- First-install power cycle: After fitting this cell, power cycle the camera once through the Hik-Connect app. The firmware must re-register the new cell before motion events log correctly to cloud storage — skipping this step can cause the first few triggered clips to drop.
Why the DS-2XS2T46XM goes offline in Hik-Connect after a battery swap
When the original cell is removed, the camera loses its session token stored in volatile memory. On restart with the new cell, Hik-Connect no longer recognises the device session as active. The camera appears offline even though it has power and a WiFi signal. Re-adding the device in the app or triggering a soft reset through Device Management clears this and re-establishes the connection.
App reporting 0% or incorrect charge percentage after battery install
The DS-2XS2T46XM uses a voltage-threshold indicator, not a fuel gauge IC. After fitting a new cell, the firmware has no charge history to reference and defaults to 0% or an erratic reading. One full charge-to-discharge-to-full-charge cycle gives the firmware enough voltage data points to display an accurate percentage. Until that cycle completes, ignore the percentage and confirm the cell is healthy by checking that the camera stays online and triggers normally. A fully charged cell should read at or above 4.1V at the terminals.

Frequently Asked Questions
My DS-2XS2T46XM stops recording mid-clip — the clip just cuts off and the camera goes back to sleep. What's causing that?
A WiFi reconnect attempt during recording pulls a current spike that can trip the BMS on a weak signal — the cell voltage dips momentarily and the BMS interprets it as a low-cell event. Check the signal strength indicator in Hik-Connect for that camera's location; anything below two bars makes this worse. Moving the camera closer to the router or adding a WiFi extender reduces the reconnect frequency. If the signal is already strong, confirm the cell terminals are fully seated — a loose contact creates the same voltage dip under load.
The IR night vision cuts out after the camera has been running overnight, but the camera is still online and showing a live feed during the day. Why does this happen?
The IR LED array on the DS-2XS2T46XM is one of the highest sustained current draws on the cell. Over a long overnight session, if the cell voltage drops toward the lower threshold, the camera's power management sheds the IR LEDs first to keep the processor and WiFi module alive. The camera stays "online" but night vision stops. A fully charged cell should sustain IR operation through the night — if it doesn't, the cell has lost enough capacity that it can no longer hold voltage above the IR enable threshold under sustained load. Charge the replacement cell fully before the first overnight session and verify IR activates at dusk.
The solar panel on my DS-2XS2T46XM isn't charging the new battery — the percentage hasn't moved in two days of sun. What's the problem?
The camera's solar charge circuit has a minimum re-entry voltage — if the cell was installed deeply discharged, the solar panel's output current may not be enough to push the cell above that threshold to begin charging. Connect the camera to a USB charger directly for 30–60 minutes to bring the cell voltage above 3.5V, which puts the BMS into normal charge-accept mode. After that, disconnect and let the solar panel take over. Also confirm the panel connector is fully clicked in — the DS-2XS2T46XM solar port is spring-loaded and can appear seated without making full contact.
