Fits Ambrogio L15, L20 Twenty, L15 deluxe, L20e Lite and other compatible models; replaces OEM part 015E00600A.
25.9V 2600mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 67.34Wh to the blade motor and drive system.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a single locking tab that seats flush against the mower housing.
We ran full discharge cycles on the bench; BMS held steady under blade load until thermal protection engaged at normal operating temperature.
Before first seasonal use in spring, bring this pack indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C — cold cells trigger higher inrush current on blade motor startup and can trip the BMS cutoff prematurely.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Ambrogio L15 / L20 Series — 25.9V Li-ion Replacement Battery (015E00600A)

This is a 25.9V 2600mAh (67.34Wh) Li-ion battery for the Ambrogio L15, L15 Deluxe, L20 Twenty, L20e Lite, and related models. It replaces OEM part number 015E00600A. The pack slots into the mower's battery compartment and communicates with the onboard BMS before the blade motor activates.

  • L15 and L20 series compatibility: These models share the same 25.9V seven-cell architecture, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — that's why one part number covers the full lineup. Swapping voltage or cell count would trip the mower's charge controller, so the match has to be exact.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge on the L15 platform. The BMS negotiated correctly on first connection, cell balancing completed without error flags, and discharge curves stayed within spec across five test cycles.
  • Seasonal storage tip: Before first spring use, bring the battery indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C. Cold Li-ion cells carry higher internal resistance, and the blade motor's inrush current can trip the BMS on a cold pack before it even starts cutting.

BMS cutoff during thick-grass or wet-grass cutting

The L15 blade motor draws significantly more current through dense or wet grass than on a standard dry lawn pass. If that inrush current spikes past the BMS protection threshold — typically when the mower hits a patch of overgrown or waterlogged turf — the pack shuts down as a fault response. This is the BMS doing its job, not a battery defect. Return the mower to the dock, allow a full recharge cycle, and the BMS will reset. If cutouts repeat consistently in the same zone, trim that area manually before the next scheduled mow cycle.

Charger showing a fault light after the mower sat unused all winter

Li-ion cells self-discharge slowly during storage — a pack left in an unheated garage from October to March can drop below the charger's acceptance voltage threshold, typically around 18–20V for a 25.9V pack. When voltage falls that low, the charger refuses to initiate a charge cycle and flags a fault. Some Ambrogio chargers include a recovery mode; hold the charge button for five seconds or consult the charger label for the wake-up procedure. If the charger has no recovery mode, a compatible Li-ion charger with a manual boost function set to 25.9V can bring cells back above the acceptance threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Ambrogio L15 cuts out halfway across the lawn then restarts on its own — what's happening?

This is thermal protection cutting in. The blade motor generates heat during a continuous mow cycle, and when the pack temperature hits the BMS upper limit, it interrupts current to protect the cells. The pack recovers once it cools. Return the mower to the dock and allow a five-minute cooldown before resuming. If it happens repeatedly on short cycles, check that the battery vents in the mower compartment are clear of grass clippings.

The battery feels noticeably warmer than the original pack did for the first few charges — is that normal?

Yes, for the first five cycles. New cells go through a conditioning phase where internal resistance is slightly higher than it will be after break-in — that resistance generates a small amount of extra heat during charge and discharge. Run five full charge-and-discharge cycles and surface temperature should normalise. If the pack is too hot to hold comfortably against your palm after cycle six, stop using it and check for a BMS fault code on the charger display.

The mower's performance drops sharply on cold mornings even with a fully charged battery — why?

Li-ion cells lose usable capacity below 10°C because lower temperatures increase internal resistance and reduce the current the cells can deliver cleanly. The L15 blade motor's inrush demand on startup can exceed what a cold pack will supply, causing a BMS trip or a noticeable power drop mid-cut. Store the battery indoors the night before a cold-morning mow session. Reinstall it just before use — that alone will recover most of the lost capacity.
