Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Ambrogio L200 Series — 25.9V Li-ion Replacement Battery (110Z03700A)

This 25.9V 7800mAh Li-ion battery replaces part number 110Z03700A in the Ambrogio L200 robotic lawn mower range. It fits the L200 Basic, L200 Carbone, L200 Deluxe, and L200 Deluxe 1B, among others. Voltage and BMS communication must match the original — this unit does both.

  • L200 platform compatibility: The L200 series shares a common 25.9V battery bay and BMS handshake protocol across its variants. Each model uses the same connector format and charge acceptance curve, so one battery part number covers the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack on an L200 Basic under simulated blade load cycles. The BMS held communication with the mower's onboard controller throughout, accepted charge from the standard dock without fault codes, and balanced cells correctly across repeated discharge cycles.
  • Seasonal storage prep: Before first use of the season, bring the battery indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C. Cold Li-ion cells carry higher internal resistance, and the blade motor's inrush current can trip the BMS on a cold pack before it even starts cutting.

Charger showing fault after the mower sat in the garage all winter

Li-ion cells self-discharge slowly over months of inactivity. If the pack drops below roughly 2.5V per cell during winter storage, the charger's intake circuit reads it as a fault or dead pack and refuses to begin a charge cycle. The fix is to attempt a trickle or recovery charge using a compatible Li-ion charger that supports below-threshold activation — some units have a "wake" or "recovery" mode. Once cells climb back above the acceptance threshold (typically around 3.0V per cell), the standard dock will take over normally.

Mower cuts out mid-row then restarts after a short pause

This is thermal protection triggering, not a faulty battery. When the blade motor pulls sustained high current — dense grass, wet conditions, or a clogged cutting deck — the BMS records a temperature spike and disconnects output to protect the cells. The mower appears to stall, then recovers once the pack cools. Clear any grass buildup from the underside of the deck, and allow a five-minute cooldown before resuming. If it trips repeatedly in normal dry-grass conditions, check that the blade is sharp — a dull blade draws significantly more current per cut.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the L200 cut out in thick or wet grass but work fine on dry short grass?

The blade motor draws much higher current through dense or wet turf, and if that inrush spike exceeds the BMS protection threshold, the pack disconnects output to protect the cells. This isn't a battery fault — it's the BMS doing its job. Clear the cutting deck of any packed grass clippings, let the pack cool for five minutes, then resume. A dull blade makes this worse because it pulls more current per revolution, so check blade condition too.

The charger dock shows a red fault light on a brand-new battery — what's happening?

New replacement packs sometimes arrive partially discharged from storage, and if the resting voltage is below the charger's acceptance floor, the dock refuses to begin charging. Remove the battery, wait two minutes, then reseat it firmly — the dock sometimes needs a clean contact reset. If the fault light persists, check that the dock's charge pins are free of debris and making full contact with the battery terminals. Once the pack voltage climbs above the intake threshold (around 3.0V per cell), the dock will accept it and charge normally.

The new battery feels noticeably warmer than the old one during charging — is that normal?

Yes, for the first several cycles. New Li-ion cells condition themselves during early charge and discharge, and the chemical activity runs slightly hotter until the cells stabilise. This is normal and typically levels off after five full cycles through the mower's standard dock. If the pack is too hot to hold comfortably after a full charge, that's outside normal range — check that the dock's ventilation slots are clear and the battery bay on the mower isn't blocked.
