Fits Robolinho 100 robotic lawn mower, replaces OEM part 440629.
18V and 2500mAh means full blade runtime per charge without mid-cycle cutoff on standard grass.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a spring-clip locking tab on the right side.
We bench-tested this cell with the Robolinho motor load — BMS held stable through 15 consecutive charge cycles with no early shutdown.
Before first spring use, bring the battery indoors overnight if outdoor temperatures are below 10C to avoid cold-start BMS trips during blade motor startup.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Robolinho 100 / 110 Series — 18V Li-ion Replacement Battery (440629)

This 18V 2500mAh Li-ion battery replaces part number 440629 in the Robolinho 100, 110, 41.6, and 1100 robotic lawn mowers. It fits the original battery bay and connects to the same BMS handshake the charger station expects. Voltage and cell count match the factory specification exactly.

  • 100 / 110 / 41.6 / 1100 platform compatibility: These models share the same 18V rail, physical connector, and BMS communication protocol — which is why one battery pack covers the full range. The cell configuration and discharge curve are consistent across all listed variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through blade-motor start surges and sustained cutting loads. The BMS held charge acceptance correctly and the protection circuits triggered at expected thresholds under simulated high-draw conditions.
  • Seasonal storage tip: Before first use of the season, bring the battery indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C. Cold Li-ion cells have higher internal resistance, and the blade motor inrush current can trip the BMS on a cold pack before a single row is cut.

Charger station showing fault after the mower sat all winter

Li-ion packs self-discharge slowly during storage. If the Robolinho sits in an unheated garage for several months, cell voltage can drop below the charger's acceptance threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell. The docking station reads this as a fault and refuses to begin a charge cycle. To recover the pack, place it in a warm room (above 15°C) for a few hours, then re-dock. If the charger still shows a fault, the cells have discharged too deeply and the pack needs replacing.

Mower cuts out mid-row then restarts on its own

This is thermal protection activating, not a battery fault. When the blade motor works against thick or wet grass, current draw spikes and heat builds in the pack. Once the BMS detects an over-temperature condition, it cuts output to protect the cells. The mower recovers after a 5-minute cooldown. If this happens repeatedly in normal conditions, check that the blade is sharp — a dull blade draws significantly more current on each pass.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Robolinho docking station flashes a fault light as soon as I put the new battery in — what's happening?

A fault light on first dock usually means the charger is waiting for the battery's BMS to initialise before accepting a charge. Remove the pack, wait 30 seconds, and re-dock slowly until the contacts click fully into place. If the fault clears after a second attempt, the handshake was incomplete on the first dock. If it persists across three attempts, confirm the docking contacts on the station are clean and free of grass debris — oxidised contacts block the communication signal the BMS needs to pass before charging begins.

The battery feels noticeably warmer than the old one after the first few charges — is that normal?

New cells generate slightly more heat during the first five charge-discharge cycles as the chemistry stabilises. This is normal and the warmth should reduce noticeably by cycle five or six. The BMS monitors cell temperature throughout and will cut the charge if anything exceeds safe limits. If the pack is too hot to hold comfortably after a full mowing session beyond the sixth cycle, that is outside normal conditioning behaviour and the pack should be inspected.

The mower's cutting performance drops noticeably on cold mornings even with a fully charged battery — why?

Li-ion cells lose usable capacity below 10°C because cold increases internal resistance, which reduces the voltage the pack can sustain under load. The blade motor draws more current on startup than during a steady cut, and a cold pack sags under that inrush more than a warm one. Bring the battery indoors the night before a cold-morning mow and install it just before starting. A pack at 18°C or above will deliver its full rated 2500mAh; at 5°C you may see 15–20% less usable capacity before the BMS trips on voltage sag.
