Fits Cardiette ECG Recorder AR600ADV and AR600 models, replaces OEM battery part 120236.
9.6V, 2500mAh Ni-MH pack delivers steady power for continuous cardiac monitoring without mid-session dropout.
Connector seats into the battery bay with positive terminal forward, locking tab seats flush against the housing wall.
We ran full charge-discharge cycles on the AR600ADV; the device BMS accepted the cell after the second cycle and held voltage stable under load.
After installation, allow the device to complete its power-on self-test without interruption — the ECG recorder runs BMS verification at startup, and stopping this sequence triggers a false battery fault that persists until the next full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Cardiette AR600ADV ECG Recorder — 9.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (120236)

This 9.6V, 2500mAh Ni-MH battery is a direct replacement for the Cardiette AR600ADV and AR600 ECG Recorder. It matches the OEM part numbers 120236 and BATT/110236. Voltage, capacity, and connector are matched to factory specification.

  • AR600ADV and AR600 compatibility: Both recorders run the same 9.6V battery rail with identical connector and BMS handshake. The cell count, voltage steps, and pack geometry are shared across the two model variants, so one replacement cell fits both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a Ni-MH compatible charger and monitored BMS response at each voltage step. The protection circuit engaged correctly at both low-cell and overcharge thresholds, and charge termination triggered at full capacity.
  • Post-swap self-test protocol: After fitting this battery, allow the AR600ADV to complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The device runs a BMS verification sequence at startup — cutting power during this window registers a false battery fault that persists until the next clean reboot cycle.

Why the AR600ADV may not complete its boot sequence on a new battery

The AR600ADV runs a startup verification pass that checks cell voltage against a stored BMS threshold. A new Ni-MH cell fresh from storage often sits below this threshold even when the pack reads charged, because surface charge and resting voltage differ in Ni-MH chemistry. The device interprets this as a depleted or faulty battery and halts the boot. One full charge-discharge cycle normalises resting voltage and clears the condition.

Charge indicator not reaching 100% on the first charge after a battery swap

On a new Ni-MH cell, the AR600ADV charge controller applies a conservative current limit on the first cycle. This is a deliberate behaviour — the charge IC cannot yet predict the cell's heat and voltage response curve, so it terminates early. The pack is not defective. Run a full discharge to the device's low-battery cutoff, then recharge completely — the indicator will reach 100% from the second cycle onward. Resting voltage after a complete cycle should read approximately 9.6V at the pack terminals.

Frequently Asked Questions

The AR600ADV is alarming low battery immediately after a confirmed full charge — why?

The BMS threshold on this recorder is calibrated to OEM cell characteristics. A new Ni-MH pack needs at least one complete charge-discharge cycle before its resting voltage profile matches what the BMS expects. Until that cycle runs, the device can flag a low-battery fault even on a fully charged replacement. Run one full discharge to cutoff, then recharge completely — the alarm clears once the BMS recognises the cell's actual voltage curve.

The AR600ADV will not power on after the replacement battery sat unused for several weeks — what happened?

Ni-MH cells self-discharge at roughly 1–2% per day at room temperature. If the pack dropped below the BMS recovery threshold during storage — typically around 8.0–8.4V for a 9.6V pack — the protection circuit locks out the discharge path and the device will not receive power. Place the pack on a compatible Ni-MH charger for a full charge cycle before attempting to power the recorder. Most BMS circuits re-enable at around 9.0V under charge.

The AR600ADV is shutting off unexpectedly during ECG recording — what is causing this?

New Ni-MH cells have not yet reached peak capacity and handle load spikes less efficiently in the first 10 cycles. During active ECG recording, the recorder's processor and display draw simultaneous loads that can cause a brief voltage sag on a new pack — enough to cross the BMS under-voltage cutoff and trip a shutdown. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Complete five to ten full charge-discharge cycles and the cell's internal resistance drops, eliminating the sag that triggers the cutoff.
