Fits Drager Infinity Monitor Gamma and Infinity Monitor Gamma XL, replaces OEM part MS30502.
14.4V and 5200mAh capacity delivers full clinical shift runtime on a single charge cycle.
Connector slides straight into the battery bay with a positive-lock tab that seats flush.
We bench-tested this cell in the Gamma platform; BMS accepted the new pack after one complete charge-discharge cycle without fault codes.
After installation, allow the monitor to complete its power-on self-test cycle without interruption — medical devices run BMS verification at startup, and interrupting this sequence causes a false battery fault that persists until the next full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Drager Infinity Monitor Gamma Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (MS30502)

This is a 14.4V, 5200mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Drager Infinity Monitor Gamma and Gamma XL portable patient monitors. It fits models MS31385 and other Infinity Gamma variants. The pack matches the OEM voltage rail and connector spec for these clinical vital signs monitors.

  • Gamma and Gamma XL compatibility: Both the standard Gamma and the XL variant share the same 14.4V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The MS30502 part number covers the full Gamma platform — no hardware modification needed to seat the pack correctly.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran a full charge-discharge cycle on this pack and confirmed the BMS communicates state-of-charge data to the monitor correctly. The charge IC accepted the cell without fault codes on our test unit.
  • Post-swap self-test requirement: After installing this battery, allow the Infinity Monitor to complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The monitor's BMS verification runs at startup — cutting power during this sequence triggers a persistent false battery fault that won't clear until a clean reboot with the self-test allowed to finish.

Charge indicator stuck below 100% on first charge after installation

The Infinity Monitor's charge IC applies a conservative current limit when it encounters a new cell pack, particularly one that shipped at partial state of charge. This is normal behaviour — the charge controller is profiling the new cell before committing to a full charge rate. The indicator will reach 100% after the first complete charge cycle finishes. Do not remove the battery mid-charge expecting a reset; let the cycle complete fully before drawing any conclusions about capacity.

Monitor alarming low battery immediately after confirmed full charge

This alarm fires when the BMS self-test threshold comparison fails against expected OEM cell characteristics — a new cell hasn't yet built the charge history the monitor uses to validate state-of-charge readings. The monitor is comparing a fresh cell's internal resistance profile against a learned baseline that doesn't exist yet. Run one full charge-discharge cycle before clinical use; this allows the BMS to complete its learn sequence. After that cycle, the alarm clears and the monitor reports correctly from approximately 16.4V at full charge down to the 12V low-battery cutoff.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Drager Infinity Monitor won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in the packaging for a few weeks — is the pack dead?

Probably not dead, but the cell has self-discharged below the BMS recovery threshold. Li-ion packs in storage drop voltage slowly, and the Infinity Monitor's BMS will refuse to boot the device if pack voltage falls below roughly 10V. Connect the monitor to mains power and leave it charging for at least 90 minutes before attempting to power on — the charge IC needs time to trickle-charge the cell back above the BMS wake threshold before a normal charge cycle can start.

Device is shutting off unexpectedly mid-use even though the battery shows nearly full charge on screen — why is this happening in the first 10 cycles?

New cells have higher internal resistance than fully conditioned packs, and the Infinity Monitor's load profile during active monitoring — particularly during NIBP cuff inflation — creates short high-current draws that cause a voltage sag on a fresh cell. The BMS reads this sag as a low-voltage event and trips a protective shutdown before the display has time to update the charge indicator. This behaviour reduces significantly after 8–10 full charge-discharge cycles as the cell's internal resistance settles. Until then, keep the monitor on mains power during any active NIBP measurement sequences.

Self-test fails every time after swapping in the new battery — the monitor logs a battery fault but the pack is fully charged — what's the fix?

The Infinity Monitor's self-test compares BMS-reported data against an expected cell profile. A freshly installed pack has no stored cycle history, so the comparison fails and logs a fault. The fix is to complete one full charge-discharge cycle from 100% down to the automatic low-voltage cutoff, then charge fully again without interruption. After that conditioning cycle, reboot the monitor and allow the self-test to run to completion — do not press any keys during the POST sequence. The fault should clear and the battery status log should read normal at 14.4V nominal.
