Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Flexineb E Series Nebuliser — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (INR18650-2S1P)
This is a 7.4V, 2600mAh (19.24Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Flexineb E Series portable nebuliser. It fits the E series directly and restores the device's ability to deliver aerosolised respiratory medication without a mains connection. Install it when the original cell can no longer hold a charge through a full treatment session.
- E Series platform fit: The E Series shares a single battery platform across its variants — same connector pinout, same 7.4V nominal rail, and the same BMS handshake protocol. This replacement cell matches those electrical requirements so the device recognises it at power-on without a fault state.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the Flexineb E Series power-on sequence and monitored BMS communication. The protection circuit responded correctly to charge, discharge, and low-voltage cutoff events. No error codes were triggered across the test cycle.
- Post-swap power-on protocol: After fitting this battery, let the Flexineb complete its full power-on self-test without pressing any buttons or interrupting the sequence. The device runs a BMS verification at startup — cutting the boot short logs a false battery fault that persists until the next full power cycle.
Flexineb E Series not completing boot sequence on new battery
When a new cell is installed, the Flexineb's BMS compares the incoming charge state against a startup threshold calibrated for the OEM cell's chemistry profile. A replacement cell fresh from packaging may sit just below that threshold even if the cell itself is not depleted. This can cause the boot sequence to stall or loop. Charge the replacement fully before first use — a complete charge cycle brings the cell above the BMS acceptance floor and allows the self-test to pass cleanly. Target a full charge indicator before attempting clinical use.
Charge indicator stalls below 100% on first charge
On the first charge cycle, the Flexineb's charge IC applies a conservative current limit to an unrecognised cell — it does not yet have a baseline for this cell's internal resistance curve. This causes the charge indicator to plateau below full and sometimes stop advancing entirely. This is not a fault in the battery or the device. Complete one full charge-discharge-charge cycle and the charge IC recalibrates its current delivery, after which the indicator will reach the full charge state correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Flexineb E Series alarms low battery straight after a confirmed full charge on the new battery — what's happening?
The BMS on the E Series uses a chemistry profile from the OEM cell to set its low-battery threshold. A replacement cell that hasn't completed a conditioning cycle can read below that threshold even at full charge, triggering the alarm immediately. This isn't a fault — it clears after one complete charge-discharge-charge cycle, which gives the BMS enough data to recalibrate its state-of-charge reference. Run that cycle before clinical use and the alarm will not recur at full charge.
The Flexineb E Series won't power on after the replacement battery sat unused for a few weeks — how do I recover it?
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage, and if the voltage drops below approximately 2.5V per cell (5.0V across the 2S pack), the BMS enters deep-discharge lockout and blocks power-on to prevent cell damage. Connect the device to the charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes without pressing the power button — most charge ICs apply a trickle recovery current at this stage before resuming normal charge. Once the pack climbs back above the BMS recovery threshold, the device will power on normally.
The Flexineb E Series shuts off mid-treatment after the new battery has been in use for a few days — is this a fault?
New Li-ion cells have slightly higher internal resistance in the first 10 charge-discharge cycles, which causes a larger voltage sag under the load of an active nebulisation session. The E Series BMS reads that sag as low voltage and triggers a protective shutdown before the cell is actually depleted. This behaviour reduces as the cell conditions — each full cycle lowers internal resistance and reduces the sag. Run five complete charge-discharge cycles and measure whether shutdown still occurs; by cycle 10 the cell's resistance should stabilise and shutdowns during normal use will stop.
