Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Mindray VS800 / WATO EX-20 Series — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (LI23S001A)
This is an 11.1V, 4400mAh Li-ion battery for the Mindray VS800 patient monitor and compatible WATO EX series devices. It fits the VS800 and VS-800 vital signs monitors used in clinical wards, ICUs, and patient transport. Voltage and capacity match OEM part LI23S001A and alternate reference 022-000382-00.
- VS800 and WATO EX-20 shared platform: These models run the same 11.1V three-cell Li-ion architecture with an identical battery bay connector and BMS handshake protocol. A single battery covers both platforms without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through the VS800's startup self-test sequence and confirmed BMS communication, charge acceptance, and runtime flag behaviour. The cell accepted a full charge and cleared the low-battery flag after one complete charge cycle.
- Post-swap startup protocol: After installing this battery, allow the VS800 to complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The device runs a BMS verification step at boot — cutting power during this window triggers a false battery fault that persists until the next clean reboot.
VS800 low-battery alarm immediately after a confirmed full charge
The VS800 BMS stores OEM chemistry calibration data and compares incoming cell readings against that baseline on first use. A fresh replacement cell has no charge history logged, so the BMS flags it as below threshold until one full charge-discharge cycle completes. This is a calibration state, not a cell fault. Run one full cycle — charge to 100%, allow the device to draw the battery down during normal use, then recharge fully — and the alarm clears.
VS800 will not power on after battery was stored before installation
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If voltage drops below approximately 9V at the pack level, the VS800 BMS enters a protection state and blocks startup entirely. Connect the device to mains power first — do not attempt to boot on battery alone. Leave it on charge for a minimum of 30 minutes before pressing the power button. The charge IC applies a low-current pre-charge phase to recover the cell before resuming normal charge current.

Frequently Asked Questions
The VS800 is alarming low battery right after I put in a brand-new cell and charged it fully — why?
The VS800's BMS compares cell data against stored OEM calibration values. A new cell has no charge history on record, so the device treats it as suspect until one full charge-discharge cycle teaches the BMS the cell's actual capacity curve. This is not a fault with the battery. Run one complete cycle — full charge, normal use discharge, full recharge — and the alarm will clear.
The VS800 won't power on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months before installation.
Self-discharge during storage can pull cell voltage below the BMS recovery threshold, roughly 9V at pack level, causing the protection circuit to block startup. Plug the VS800 into mains power and leave it charging for at least 30 minutes before attempting to boot. The charge IC runs a low-current pre-charge phase first — this is normal. Once voltage recovers above the threshold, the BMS releases the block and normal startup resumes.
The VS800 keeps shutting off unexpectedly during patient monitoring even though the battery shows a good charge level.
New Li-ion cells carry higher internal resistance in the first 10 charge cycles. The VS800's monitoring load — continuous display, SpO2, and NIBP cycling — creates periodic current spikes that cause a voltage sag on a not-yet-conditioned cell, tripping the BMS undervoltage cutoff prematurely. The device reads the sag as a low-cell event and shuts down. Complete 5–10 full charge-discharge cycles on the bench before returning the battery to clinical use, and confirm cell voltage holds above 10.5V under load before deploying.
