Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Inseego M2000 / M2100 5G MiFi — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (1600007)
This 3.85V, 3500mAh lithium-polymer battery fits the Inseego M2000 and M2100 5G MiFi mobile hotspot devices. It replaces OEM part numbers 1600007, 40123134, and 40123133. The battery slots into the rear compartment and connects directly to the hotspot's power management board.
- M2000 and M2100 platform fit: Both models share the same 3.85V power rail, physical footprint at 88.60 × 48.50 × 5.50mm, and BMS handshake protocol — so one cell works across the entire platform without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery under combined 5G modem plus simultaneous multi-device Wi-Fi load. The BMS held charge delivery stable and triggered protection correctly at low-voltage threshold without nuisance cutoff during active data sessions.
- Ventilation during extended hotspot sessions: Keep the M2000 flat on an open surface when running extended sessions. The 5G cellular radio pushes maximum transmit power when client devices are far away — heat buildup at the rear panel sits directly against the battery cell and accelerates capacity loss over time.
Why the M2000 drops all connected devices mid-session under full load
The M2000 runs two power-hungry subsystems at once — the 5G modem and the Wi-Fi radio. When all available client slots are active and the modem is pulling maximum throughput, instantaneous current draw spikes well beyond the average idle load. If the battery cell has degraded internal resistance, voltage sags below the BMS protection threshold and the device shuts down to protect the cell. A fresh cell with lower internal resistance holds voltage stable through those draw spikes without triggering cutoff.
M2000 won't power on after sitting unused for several weeks
Lithium-polymer cells self-discharge at roughly 2–3% per month. If the M2000 sat in a drawer for an extended period with the battery already partially depleted, the cell may have dropped below the minimum boot voltage — typically around 3.0V per cell for Li-Polymer. The BMS locks out charging as a safety measure when voltage falls this low. Connect the device to the OEM charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes before attempting to power on; most chargers apply a trickle pre-charge that recovers the cell to a level where the BMS re-enables full charging.

Frequently Asked Questions
My M2000 shows a full battery bar but cuts out when five or six devices are connected — why?
This is a voltage sag failure, not a charge indicator problem. Under combined 5G modem and multi-client Wi-Fi draw, peak current demand spikes sharply — an aged cell with rising internal resistance can't sustain the voltage, so the BMS triggers a protective shutdown even though the fuel gauge read full. A replacement cell with lower internal resistance holds the voltage rail stable through those load spikes. If cutouts continue on a fresh battery, check that the device isn't thermally throttling from being enclosed or pocket-carried.
The M2000 drains noticeably faster in one location than another — is the battery at fault?
Usually not. Poor cellular signal forces the 5G modem to run at maximum transmit power continuously, which pulls significantly more current than the same modem in strong signal. The battery is delivering more energy per hour — it's working correctly, the radio is just demanding more. Move to a window or higher-signal area and you'll see a clear difference in drain rate. If drain is equally fast in strong-signal areas, the cell itself may have lost capacity.
The M2100 charges to 100% but the percentage drops to around 70% within the first few minutes of use — what's happening?
The fuel gauge is reading a cell that has lost usable capacity. The hotspot's power management chip calibrates state-of-charge against the cell's rated capacity — when the actual capacity has degraded, the gauge overshoots 100% on charge, then corrects itself rapidly once real load exposes the gap. This isn't a firmware bug. Replace the battery and the gauge will track accurately again from the first full charge cycle.
