Fits Alcatel K132 and OT-S850 models; replaces OEM battery CS-OT850SL.
3.7V and 750mAh capacity restores full call and messaging runtime on this compact smartphone.
Connector slides straight into the K132 battery slot with no locking tab or orientation trap.
We bench-tested this cell in a K132 unit; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion with no fuel gauge errors.
On first full charge cycle, let the phone discharge completely before recharging — this calibrates the fuel gauge IC against the new cell's discharge curve and prevents percentage jumps during normal use.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alcatel K132 / OT-S850 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 750mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Alcatel K132 and OT-S850 mobile phones. It slots directly into either handset and restores normal call, messaging, and standby functions. Capacity figure is 750mAh (2.78Wh) — matching the original cell specification.

  • K132 and OT-S850 compatibility: Both models share the same 3.7V single-cell Li-ion architecture, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell fits both without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and load on the K132 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and the charge IC reached full termination correctly on the first cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first installation, run one full discharge down to auto-shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before normal use. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve accurately — skipping this step causes the percentage counter to read against the old cell's data.

Why the K132 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The K132 uses a fuel gauge IC that tracks capacity by measuring coulombs in and out against a stored discharge curve. That curve was built around the original cell's internal resistance and voltage profile. A new cell has a different impedance, so the stored curve no longer matches real voltage behaviour. One full discharge-to-shutoff followed by a complete charge forces the IC to rewrite its reference data against the new cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% remaining on the K132

This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under load — typically during a call, when the modem radio draws a burst of current. At that moment, cell voltage can fall below the 3.2V BMS cutoff threshold even though the percentage counter still shows charge remaining. The fuel gauge hasn't recalibrated yet, so it reports an inflated state of charge right up to the cutoff. Fix: complete one full supervised discharge-charge cycle so the gauge IC anchors the empty point at the correct voltage floor.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Alcatel K132 shuts off suddenly at around 25% — is the new battery faulty?

Not faulty — the fuel gauge IC is still reading the old cell's discharge curve, so it reports 25% while the actual cell voltage is already near the BMS cutoff threshold of around 3.2V. Under modem load during a call, that voltage drop is fast and steep. Run one full discharge to auto-shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%, and the gauge IC will recalibrate its empty-point reference against the new cell.

The battery percentage on my K132 is jumping around erratically after I fitted the replacement — what's causing it?

The coulomb counter in the fuel gauge IC is still using stored data from the original cell. It hasn't yet built an accurate model of the new cell's voltage-to-capacity curve, so percentage readings swing as the IC encounters voltage behaviour it doesn't recognise. This settles after one complete discharge and full charge cycle. Once that cycle is done, the IC locks onto the new cell's curve and percentage readings stabilise.

The K132 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V the BMS will have locked out to prevent damage — this is a protection trip, not a dead battery. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button; the charge IC applies a slow trickle current to bring the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold. Once voltage recovers above 3.0V, the BMS releases and the phone will power on and charge normally.
