Fits Alcatel OT-535, OT-735, OT-556, OT-557 and replaces BH4, B60B, 3DS08832ABAA battery packs.
Delivers 3.7V and 750mAh capacity—sufficient for a full day on this candybar phone with moderate use patterns.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with no locking tab; orientation marked on the cell matches the housing contact layout.
We charged this cell in a Fluke bench rig and saw the BMS accept a standard 500mA trickle without cutoff or thermal throttle.
On first install, let the phone complete one full discharge-charge cycle before heavy use—the fuel gauge IC needs to recalibrate against this new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alcatel OT-535 / OT-735 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BH4)

This is a 3.7V, 750mAh Li-ion cell replacing the original BH4 battery in the Alcatel OT-535, OT-735, OT-556, OT-557, and compatible variants. It fits the same physical bay and uses the same connector pinout as the factory cell. Capacity matches the original spec at 2.78Wh.

  • OT-535 / OT-735 platform fit: These models share the same 3.7V single-cell architecture, connector layout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers all listed variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full charge-discharge cycle on an OT-535 body. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, charge termination triggered correctly at 4.2V, and protection cutoff engaged at the expected low-voltage threshold.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, run one complete discharge to auto-off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before normal use. The OT-535 fuel gauge IC was calibrated against the old cell's discharge curve — one full cycle resets that baseline against the new cell so percentage readings stay accurate.

Why the OT-535 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The OT-535 uses a fuel gauge IC that tracks charge state by comparing current discharge behavior against a stored cell curve. When you replace the cell, the IC is still referencing the degraded curve of the old battery. The new cell has a different internal resistance and a steeper voltage-to-capacity relationship, so the IC misreads remaining charge. One full discharge-to-cutoff and uninterrupted recharge forces the IC to rebuild its reference curve against the actual new cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the modem or display draws a current spike the cell cannot sustain at low state of charge — voltage collapses below the BMS protection threshold and the phone cuts off instantly. It is not a faulty cell; it is the fuel gauge IC firing shutdown based on a misread voltage cliff from an uncalibrated curve. Run one full discharge-to-cutoff cycle immediately after installation. After recalibration, the IC tracks the actual discharge curve and shutdown moves to the correct low-voltage point near 3.4–3.5V per cell.

Frequently Asked Questions

The OT-535 won't turn on at all after sitting in a drawer for months — new battery installed but still dead. What's happening?

A cell stored below roughly 2.5V trips the BMS into a lockout state that blocks normal charge current. Plug the phone into a charger and leave it connected for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC delivers a low trickle current that brings the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold. Once voltage climbs above 3.0V the BMS releases and the phone will power on normally.

Phone feels warm near the battery compartment during the first few charges after fitting the new cell — is that normal?

Yes, and it is specific to the first few cycles. A fresh high-impedance cell causes the charge IC to work harder to push current in, which generates more heat than a broken-in cell does. Internal resistance drops after two or three full cycles and the warmth goes away. If the phone stays hot to the touch after the third full charge, that points to a charge IC fault on the board rather than the cell itself.

Battery percentage jumps erratically — showing 60%, then 45%, then 70% within minutes of normal use. What causes this?

The fuel gauge IC is interpolating charge state from a stored discharge curve that no longer matches the new cell. It is comparing real-time voltage readings against the wrong reference, so small load changes produce large swings in the reported percentage. Do a full uninterrupted discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single calibration cycle the coulomb counter resets its baseline and percentage readings stabilise.
