Fits Asus Halley and Jupiter phones, replaces OEM battery SBP-02.
3.7V, 1100mAh cell delivers full charge cycles without voltage sag under modem load.
Connector seats flush into the Halley battery slot with a single locking tab on the left edge.
We bench-tested this pack on a Halley unit — BMS accepted the cell on first insertion, fuel gauge showed 0% until the first full discharge-charge cycle completed.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against this new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus Halley / Jupiter — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SBP-02)

This is a 3.7V, 1100mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Asus Halley and Asus Jupiter smartphones. It slots in where the original SBP-02 cell sits and restores power to the device. Capacity figure is taken from the product specification — 4.07Wh.

  • Halley and Jupiter shared platform: Both phones run the same voltage rail and use the same SBP-02 connector pinout with an identical BMS handshake, which is why one cell covers both models. Swap one in on either device and the charge IC recognises it without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS held charge termination at the correct 4.2V cutoff and the protection circuit tripped cleanly at the low-voltage threshold — no runaway, no false cutoffs mid-cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell — prevents erratic percentage readings from the first day.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on a fresh SBP-02 cell

A new cell shutting the phone down at 20–30% is a voltage cliff problem, not a capacity problem. Under modem or screen load, the cell voltage drops sharply in that lower charge band — faster than the fuel gauge IC expects. The phone's low-voltage protection kicks in and cuts power before the gauge reaches zero. One full slow-charge calibration cycle usually brings the reported cutoff voltage in line with actual cell behaviour.

Phone will not power on after the SBP-02 sat in storage

Li-ion cells stored for extended periods can self-discharge below 2.5V per cell, which triggers BMS lockout — the protection circuit opens and blocks all current flow to prevent damage. A phone in this state will show no response to the power button and no charge indicator on plug-in. Connect it to a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything — the charge IC on the phone board delivers a trickle current to bring the cell above the 2.5V recovery threshold. Once voltage clears that floor, the BMS re-initialises and normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Asus Halley shuts off at around 25% even though the new SBP-02 battery is fully charged — what's happening?

This is a voltage cliff issue. Under load — screen on, modem active — the new cell's voltage drops sharply in the lower charge band before the fuel gauge IC expects it to. The phone's protection circuit reads that as a low-voltage event and cuts power. Run one complete slow charge cycle from 0% to 100% without fast charging enabled; this recalibrates the coulomb counter against the actual discharge curve of the new cell and the shutdowns stop.

The battery percentage on my Asus Jupiter is jumping around erratically after fitting the SBP-02 — is the battery faulty?

It is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC on the phone board was calibrated to the old cell's charge curve, and the new cell has slightly different impedance characteristics. The coulomb counter is recalculating on the fly, which shows up as percentage jumps. Let the phone complete two full discharge-to-charge cycles at standard charge rate — by the end of the second cycle the gauge IC has enough data to track the new cell accurately and the erratic readings settle.

My Asus Halley feels warm near the battery while charging the new SBP-02 — should I be concerned?

Mild warmth on the first few charges is normal. A new cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in one, so the charge IC works slightly harder to push current through it. That produces a little more heat at the cell surface. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or charging stops and restarts repeatedly, check that you are not using a high-wattage charger on the first cycle — drop to a standard 5V/1A adapter until the cell has completed two full cycles, then resume normal charging.
