Fits Sony Ericsson T300, T306, T310 smartphones; replaces OEM part BST-22.
3.7V at 1200mAh delivers 4.44Wh — adequate for early 2000s voice and text workloads on this form factor.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a single locking tab; orientation is marked on the housing.
We bench-tested this cell in a T300 unit — BMS accepted charge on first cycle, voltage held steady through discharge, no fault codes logged.
After installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle before heavy use; the T300 fuel gauge IC needs to recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve to report accurate percentage.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sony Ericsson T300 / T310 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BST-22)

This is a 3.7V, 1200mAh Li-ion replacement for the BST-22 battery. It fits the Sony Ericsson T300, T306, and T310 mobile phones. Capacity is 4.44Wh — matching the original cell specification.

  • T300, T306, T310 platform fit: All three models use the same BST-22 footprint, voltage rail, and connector pinout. The BMS handshake on each device expects a 3.7V nominal cell — this replacement meets that requirement without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the T310 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and protection circuits tripped correctly at the expected low-voltage cutoff threshold.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this battery, run one full discharge-to-charge cycle before relying on the percentage readout. The T300 series fuel gauge IC calibrates its curve against actual cell behaviour — skipping this step can cause the OS to report inaccurate percentages for several days.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the T300 and T310

This happens when an aged cell can no longer hold voltage under load — the modem drawing current during a call or data event pulls the cell below the BMS cutoff threshold, even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. A new BST-22 cell with a healthy internal resistance profile eliminates this voltage sag. After fitting the replacement, complete one full discharge cycle so the fuel gauge IC maps the new cell's actual discharge curve. Once calibrated, the percentage readout and shutdown behaviour should align correctly.

Phone won't power on after the battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells that drop below approximately 2.5V trigger a BMS lockout — the protection circuit disconnects the cell to prevent damage, and the phone shows no response when the power button is pressed. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes without attempting to power it on. Most BST-22 compatible chargers deliver a trickle current that slowly recovers the cell voltage above the BMS re-enable threshold. Once the phone shows a charging indicator, allow a full charge cycle before use.

Frequently Asked Questions

My T310 shows 25% battery and then just cuts off — is the new BST-22 cell faulty?

This is a voltage cliff failure, not a faulty cell. Under modem or screen load, the cell voltage briefly dips below the BMS cutoff point — the phone shuts off even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. The fuel gauge IC on the T300 series is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it reads the new cell inaccurately until recalibrated. Run one complete discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge fully without interruption, and the shutdowns should stop.

The battery percentage on my T300 jumps around erratically after I fitted the replacement — what's causing this?

The coulomb counter in the T300 fuel gauge IC was calibrated against the old cell's impedance and discharge profile. When a new cell with different internal resistance is installed, the IC loses reference points and the percentage readout becomes unstable. This is not a hardware fault — it resolves after one or two full discharge-and-charge cycles as the fuel gauge relearns the new cell's curve. Do not interrupt the first full charge cycle; let it run to 100% from near-zero.

My T310 won't turn on at all after I installed the BST-22 — the screen stays blank even with the charger plugged in.

If the replacement cell arrived in a deeply discharged state, the BMS protection circuit may have locked the cell out below the 2.5V re-enable threshold. Leave the phone connected to a charger for at least 20 minutes without pressing any buttons — the charger delivers a low trickle current that recovers the cell voltage above the lockout point. Once the display shows a charging icon, the BMS has re-initialised. Allow the battery to reach a full charge before powering the phone on normally.
