Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Studio M HD — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (C735634200L)
This is a 3.7V, 1400mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the BLU Studio M HD, S110, S110L, and S110U smartphones. It replaces part number C735634200L and restores power to devices where the original cell has degraded or failed. Capacity is rated at 5.18Wh, matching the original specification.
- Studio M HD / S110 series fit: The S110, S110L, and S110U all share the same battery bay dimensions and connector pinout as the Studio M HD. Voltage rail and BMS handshake are consistent across the series, so one cell covers all four models without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the S110 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, charge termination triggered correctly at 4.2V, and the protection circuit tripped as expected under short-circuit simulation.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC build an accurate discharge curve against the new cell before high-current charging introduces further variables into an uncalibrated coulomb counter.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens because the fuel gauge IC on the S110 platform was calibrated to the discharge curve of the original, degraded cell. When a fresh cell with a steeper voltage cliff hits the same load — screen backlight plus active LTE modem — the phone reads the voltage drop as a hard low-battery event and shuts down. It is not a faulty replacement. Run one full discharge to near 0% and a full charge to 100% without interruption. After that cycle, the coulomb counter resets its reference points and percentage reporting stabilises.
Phone won't power on after the battery sat in storage
Li-ion cells stored below roughly 2.5V per cell trigger a BMS lockout as a deep-discharge protection measure. The phone will show no response on the power button — no logo, no charge indicator. Connect a known-good USB cable and charger and leave the device undisturbed for 20–30 minutes. The BMS recovery circuit trickle-charges the cell from as low as 0V back up to the threshold voltage before it allows normal charging to resume. Once the charge LED activates or the charging screen appears, the BMS has cleared the lockout and the phone will boot normally.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my BLU Studio M HD show the wrong battery percentage after I put in a new battery?
The fuel gauge IC on the S110 platform stores a discharge curve built from the old cell — it has no data for the new one yet. Until it recalibrates, the percentage reading is based on the wrong reference map, so it drifts high or low. Run one uninterrupted discharge down to auto-shutdown and then charge fully to 100% without unplugging early. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter rebuilds its curve against the new cell and the percentage stabilises.
My BLU Studio M HD shuts off suddenly when the screen brightness is high and mobile data is active — battery shows 25% right before it happens.
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity defect. Under combined screen and modem load, the cell voltage drops sharply at around 25–30% state of charge, and the phone's low-voltage cutoff triggers a hard shutdown before the percentage gauge catches up. It is most pronounced on the first few cycles after a cell swap, while the fuel gauge IC is still recalibrating. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles and the cutoff behaviour moves closer to the correct 3.2–3.3V threshold where it belongs.
Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery on my BLU Studio M HD — it only slow-charges now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC can fall back to standard 5V/1A charging while it verifies the new cell's impedance profile. This is normal behaviour — it is not a fault with the replacement battery or the charger. Charge the phone fully once at the slower rate, then disconnect and reconnect the charger. On the second session, the charge IC typically accepts the higher current profile and fast charging resumes.
