Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Neo 5.0 / N010 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (C776040200L)
This is a 3.7V, 1300mAh Li-ion cell (4.81Wh) replacement for the BLU Neo 5.0 smartphone, covering models N010, N010L, and N010U. It slots into the same bay as the factory cell and uses the same OEM part number C776040200L. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a charge through a normal day of calls and messaging.
- N010, N010L, N010U compatibility: All three Neo 5.0 variants share the same physical bay dimensions (77.08 × 59.72 × 3.94mm), connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — one cell covers all three without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on Neo 5.0 hardware. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and the charge IC maintained steady current through both the trickle and constant-current phases.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle with fast charging disabled. The fuel gauge IC in the Neo 5.0 was calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve — giving it one full cycle on the new cell without high-current interruption lets it reset that reference before resuming normal charging.
Why the Neo 5.0 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The Neo 5.0 uses a coulomb counter that tracks charge in and out against the original cell's capacity profile. When you install a new cell, that stored profile no longer matches the new cell's actual discharge curve. The OS reads a percentage based on stale calibration data, not the real state of charge. One full discharge from 100% to automatic shutoff, followed by a full charge, forces the fuel gauge IC to write a new reference curve to match the replacement cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% remaining on the Neo 5.0
This happens when the cell voltage drops below the modem or display load threshold faster than the fuel gauge predicted. At 20–30% state of charge, a cell with a steep discharge curve can collapse from around 3.6V to below 3.2V in seconds under a voice call or screen-on load spike. The BMS then cuts output to protect the cell, and the phone shuts off even though the percentage showed charge remaining. If this occurs repeatedly after the first full calibration cycle, check that the cell connector is fully seated — a loose contact increases effective internal resistance and accelerates that voltage drop.

Frequently Asked Questions
My BLU Neo 5.0 shuts off at around 25% right after I put in the new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge model it built for the original cell, so it doesn't predict the voltage cliff on the new cell accurately. Run one full discharge — let the phone shut itself off — then charge it uninterrupted to 100% with fast charging disabled. After that single calibration cycle, the shutdowns at 25% will stop in most cases.
The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it — what happened?
Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters lockout mode to prevent charging a critically depleted cell at full current. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power it on — the charge IC will deliver a trickle current to bring the cell voltage back above the BMS re-enable threshold, after which normal charging resumes and the phone will boot.
Why does the battery percentage jump around erratically — showing 60%, then 45%, then back to 55% — in the first day of use?
The coulomb counter inside the Neo 5.0 is recalibrating against the new cell's actual charge curve, and until it completes that process the percentage readout is unstable. We see this consistently on the bench during the first charge cycle after a cell swap. The jumping settles after one complete discharge-to-100%-charge cycle — once the fuel gauge IC writes a fresh reference, the percentage tracking stabilises and increments smoothly.
