Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

CECT V10 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V 1000mAh Li-ion cell for the CECT V10 smartphone. It replaces the original battery when the phone no longer holds charge or fails to power on. Capacity is 3.7Wh — matched to the V10's original cell specification.

  • CECT V10 fit: The V10 uses a compact removable cell rated at 3.7V nominal. This replacement matches the original cell dimensions at 53.00 x 33.90 x 5.70mm, ensuring the connector aligns and the battery seats flush in the compartment without forcing the back cover.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS accepted charge normally, held voltage above 3.5V through the mid-range, and triggered the low-voltage cutoff at the expected threshold without erratic shutdowns.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge to near-empty before recharging completely. The V10's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve — one complete cycle syncs it to the new cell so the percentage readout tracks accurately.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the CECT V10 after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC still holds the discharge map from the old, degraded cell. A new cell has a steeper voltage-to-capacity curve in the lower range. When the phone draws current for a call or screen-on event, voltage sags below the shutdown threshold before the gauge has counted down to zero. The phone cuts out even though charge appears to remain. One full discharge-charge cycle rewrites the coulomb counter reference and clears the mismatch.

CECT V10 not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge over time. If this battery was stored discharged, the BMS may have entered lockout mode to prevent damage — this happens when cell voltage drops below approximately 2.5V. The phone will show no response to the power button. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing anything; the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold, after which normal charging resumes. If the phone still shows no sign of life after 30 minutes on charge, verify the charger output is a stable 5V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My CECT V10 shows 25% battery and then shuts off without warning — is the new cell faulty?

The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC on the V10 is still reading against the old cell's discharge curve, so the reported percentage and the actual voltage under load fall out of sync. Under modem or screen load, voltage sags past the shutdown threshold while the counter still reads mid-range. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's curve.

The battery percentage on my CECT V10 jumps around erratically after fitting the replacement — what causes this?

The fuel gauge IC has not yet mapped the new cell's impedance and discharge profile. It uses stored data from the previous cell, and when the curves don't match, the percentage readout skips or bounces as voltage shifts under varying loads. This is not a defect in the replacement cell. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles and the IC will recalibrate — the readout stabilises once it has enough data points from the new cell.

My CECT V10 feels warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — is that normal?

A new Li-ion cell typically has higher internal impedance on the first few charge cycles compared to a broken-in cell. The charge IC compensates by pushing slightly more voltage, which generates more heat at the cell surface than you may have noticed with the old battery. This reduces after two or three full cycles as impedance settles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch rather than mildly warm, disconnect it and check that the charger output is 5V — voltages above spec accelerate heat generation in the charge IC.
