This is a 3.7V, 1000mAh Li-ion cell for the Anycool Enjoy W02 smartphone. It replaces the original battery when capacity has dropped or the cell has failed entirely. Dimensions are 53.00 × 33.90 × 5.70mm — verify these against your existing cell before installing.

  • Enjoy W02 fit: The W02 uses a compact removable cell on a standard 3.7V rail with a low-current BMS suited to its basic processor and modem load. This cell matches that voltage and physical footprint exactly.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled the cell through full charge and discharge under modem-active load. The BMS held voltage at the expected cutoff and accepted charge current without tripping into protection mode.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging if available and run one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's actual discharge curve before it starts reporting percentages to the OS.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Enjoy W02 after a cell swap

The Enjoy W02's fuel gauge IC stores a charge curve calibrated to the old cell. A new cell has a different internal resistance profile, so the IC misjudges where the voltage cliff actually sits. Under screen or modem load, the cell voltage drops faster than the IC expects, and the phone cuts out before the displayed percentage reaches zero. One full discharge-charge cycle with no fast charging forces the coulomb counter to relearn the new cell's actual endpoints. After that cycle, shutdown behaviour should normalise.

Phone warm near the battery compartment during first charge

A new cell typically arrives with higher internal impedance than a used one that has been run in. The charge IC pushes current into that impedance, and some of it converts to heat. This is expected on the first one or two charge cycles and fades as the cell's impedance drops with use. If warmth persists past the third full charge or the phone becomes hot to the touch, stop charging and check that the cell is seated flat with no pressure on the connector pins. Normal surface temperature during charging should be below 40°C.

My Anycool Enjoy W02 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?

Probably not dead, but the BMS has locked out below its minimum cell voltage, typically 2.5V per cell. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs time to trickle current past the BMS lockout threshold before the phone can boot. If the charging indicator appears, let it reach at least 10% before powering on.

The battery percentage on my Enjoy W02 jumps around after I fitted the new cell — it reads 60%, then 45%, then back to 55% without me doing anything.

The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the discharge curve of the old cell. It uses a coulomb counter and a stored voltage-to-capacity table, and those values no longer match the new cell's actual behaviour. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with the phone idle. That single cycle gives the IC enough data to rebuild its internal table against the new cell.

Fast charging stopped working on my Enjoy W02 the moment I put in the replacement battery — the phone just charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC defaults to standard current while it handshakes with the new BMS. Some proprietary charge protocols require the BMS to respond with a specific authentication sequence before the IC steps up to fast-charge current. Complete one full standard charge cycle first. If fast charging still doesn't engage on the second cycle, check that the battery connector pins are fully seated — a partial connection raises contact resistance above the threshold the charge IC uses to authorise high-current mode.
