Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Cricket Debut / U319AA — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (LT25H426271W)
This 3.85V, 2700mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces part number LT25H426271W in the Cricket Debut (U319AA) smartphone. It fits the original battery bay and connects to the same charge IC the phone uses to manage cell voltage and fuel gauge data. Capacity is 2700mAh — 10.4Wh total energy.
- Debut / U319AA platform fit: Both model designations share the same physical cell dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake. The charge IC expects the same voltage curve this cell delivers, so the phone recognises the battery without a firmware prompt.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Debut platform. The BMS accepted the cell on first connection, held charge current stable through the CV phase, and terminated correctly at full charge without tripping the protection circuit.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes energy into an uncalibrated state model.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens because the fuel gauge IC still holds the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. When the new cell hits a voltage point the old curve mapped to 20–30%, the IC signals a low-voltage shutdown even though usable charge remains. The fix is one full discharge-charge cycle with the screen on and mobile data active — this forces the coulomb counter to relearn the actual capacity. After that cycle, shutdowns at high reported percentages stop.
Battery percentage jumping erratically after install
Erratic percentage readings on the Debut after a cell swap come from the fuel gauge IC comparing live cell voltage against a stored state-of-charge table built around the old cell's impedance. A fresh Li-Polymer cell has lower internal resistance, so voltage readings land outside the expected table range and the IC interpolates incorrectly. Run the phone down to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without removing the charger. After one clean cycle, percentage readings stabilise — verify by checking that voltage at reported 50% sits near 3.83–3.85V.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Cricket Debut won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in storage for a few months — is the battery dead?
The BMS locks out the cell when voltage drops below roughly 2.5V per cell during extended storage — this is a protection cutoff, not a dead battery. Plug the phone into the wall charger and leave it connected for at least 30 minutes before pressing the power button; the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the lockout threshold first. If the charging indicator appears within that window, the BMS has recovered. If nothing appears after 45 minutes, check that the charger is delivering at least 5V by testing it on another device.
Fast charging stopped working on the Debut after I installed this replacement — the phone only charges slowly now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the Debut can fall back to standard 5V charging because the USB-PD or proprietary fast-charge handshake requires the BMS to confirm cell state before allowing higher current. Complete one full standard-rate charge to 100%, then unplug and reconnect — most units re-enable fast charging on the second connection once the IC has logged a clean full-charge event. If fast charging still doesn't activate, check the cable: the Debut's fast-charge protocol requires a cable rated for the correct current, not a basic charge-only USB cable.
The Debut feels noticeably warm near the battery area while charging with this new cell — is that normal?
A new Li-Polymer cell has slightly higher impedance on the first few cycles, which means more heat is generated during the constant-current charge phase compared to a broken-in cell. This warmth is normal and typically drops after two or three full cycles as internal resistance settles. If the phone becomes hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold, or if charging stops before 100%, the charge IC may be hitting a thermal limit — switch to a lower-wattage charger for the first two cycles. After break-in, charge temperature at the back of the phone should return to what you experienced with the original battery.
