Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

DEXP IXION X LTE 4.5 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 3.7V, 1600mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the DEXP IXION X LTE 4.5 smartphone. It fits directly into the battery compartment of this 4.5-inch Android handset. Voltage and capacity match the original cell specification.
- IXION X LTE 4.5 compatibility: The IXION X LTE 4.5 runs a single-cell Li-ion pack at 3.7V nominal. The charge IC and BMS on this board expect that voltage rail and a standard Li-ion charge profile — this cell matches both, so no firmware flags or charge rejection on pairing.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through a full charge and discharge sequence, confirmed BMS handshake with the charge IC, and checked that the protection circuit trips correctly at low-voltage cutoff. No charge rejection was observed on the first cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after install: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle before resuming normal use. This lets the fuel gauge IC build an accurate discharge curve against the new cell — pushing fast-charge current into an uncalibrated cell can cause the percentage counter to drift by 10–15%.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the IXION X LTE 4.5
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity issue. When the modem fires a data burst or the screen peaks in brightness, current draw spikes sharply. An aged or uncalibrated cell cannot hold voltage under that load — it drops below the BMS cutoff threshold and the phone shuts off even though the fuel gauge still shows charge. The fix is a full recalibration cycle: discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the phone. After one full cycle, the coulomb counter re-anchors its end points and the cliff shifts back toward 0–5%.
Phone reports wrong battery percentage after cell swap
The fuel gauge IC on the IXION X LTE 4.5 stores a learned discharge curve from the old cell. A new cell has different internal resistance and a slightly different voltage-to-capacity slope, so the IC maps charge state incorrectly until it relearns. This shows up as percentage jumping erratically or the phone reporting full charge while shutting down minutes later. Run one uninterrupted discharge to zero, then a full charge to 100% — this forces the IC to recalibrate its endpoints against the new cell. After that cycle, percentage reporting should stabilise within 2–3%.

Frequently Asked Questions
My DEXP IXION X LTE 4.5 won't turn on after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?
Probably not dead, but the BMS has locked out below 2.5V per cell due to self-discharge in storage. Plug in the original charger and leave it connected for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power on — the charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell before the BMS releases the lockout. If the screen shows no charge indicator at all, try a different USB cable before assuming the cell is faulty. Once voltage recovers above 3.0V, the phone should boot normally.
Fast charging stopped working on the IXION X LTE 4.5 after I fitted the replacement battery — it only slow charges now.
This happens on the first cycle after a cell swap. The charge IC runs a handshake to verify cell impedance before enabling high-current charging, and a fresh cell reads higher impedance than a broken-in one. The phone defaults to a lower charge rate as a safety measure. Run one full charge at the slow rate without interrupting it — on the second cycle, impedance drops into the expected range and fast charging re-enables automatically. Do not restart the phone mid-charge on the first cycle.
The DEXP IXION X LTE 4.5 gets noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges — should I be concerned?
Mild warmth on the first two to three charge cycles is expected. A new Li-ion cell has higher internal impedance than a fully conditioned one, and the charge IC dissipates more energy as heat while pushing current into that higher resistance. Temperature should drop noticeably by the third cycle as the cell conditions. If the phone becomes hot to the touch — uncomfortable to hold — or if warmth continues past the third full charge, stop charging and check that the battery connector is fully seated, as a loose contact increases resistance at the junction and adds heat beyond the cell itself.
