Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Doogee Y6 / Y6c — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BAT6523200)
This is a 3000mAh (11.4Wh) Li-Polymer cell built to the same 3.8V nominal specification as the original BAT6523200. It fits the Doogee Y6 and Y6c smartphones. Install it when the original cell no longer holds charge through a normal day of use.
- Y6 and Y6c compatibility: Both models use the same connector pinout, battery bay dimensions (85.60 × 64.08 × 3.44mm), and 3.8V charge termination voltage. The BMS handshake is identical across both variants, so one cell covers both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the Y6 platform. The BMS accepted charge termination at 4.35V, held stable voltage under sustained screen-on and modem load, and triggered low-voltage cutoff cleanly without false shutdown.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% uninterrupted. This gives the fuel gauge IC a clean discharge curve against the new cell before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated counter.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Doogee Y6 after a cell swap
The Y6 fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. When a new cell is installed, the IC's stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage-versus-capacity relationship. Under modem or display load, the new cell's voltage temporarily sags, and the IC interprets that sag as hitting the low-voltage floor — even when significant charge remains. Running one full discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the coulomb counter to reset against the new cell's actual curve. After that cycle, the shutdowns stop.
Phone shows 100% immediately after installing the replacement cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC reads residual voltage on the new cell — typically 3.85–3.90V from storage — and maps it straight to full capacity using the old, degraded cell's curve. It is not a fault with the replacement cell. The percentage will jump or drop unpredictably until the IC runs one full calibration cycle. Discharge the phone to auto-shutdown without interruption, then charge to 100% in a single session to anchor the new curve correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Doogee Y6 keeps shutting off around 25% even though the new battery was just installed — is the cell faulty?
The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC on the Y6 is still using the discharge curve from the old degraded cell, so it misreads the new cell's voltage sag under load as a low-battery cutoff. Run one full discharge to auto-shutdown without charging partway, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that single calibration cycle, the shutdowns should stop.
Fast charging stopped working on my Doogee Y6 after fitting the BAT6523200 replacement — the phone only trickle charges now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the Y6 defaults to a conservative current profile until it can verify the new cell's internal impedance is within safe range. This is normal BMS behaviour, not a fault. Charge the phone once at standard rate to 100%, then disconnect and restart the device. Fast charge typically re-enables on the second cycle once the IC has logged a baseline impedance reading.
The Doogee Y6 gets noticeably warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — should I be concerned?
A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so more energy converts to heat during the first few charge cycles. This is expected and reduces after 3–5 full cycles as impedance drops. If the phone feels hot to the touch — not just warm — check that the charge current is not being forced through a fast-charge adapter before the first calibration cycle is complete. Use a standard 5V/1A charger for the first full charge, then switch back to your normal adapter.
