Fits Gresso Cruiser, Grand, Luxor, and Regal phones replacing original 3.7V lithium-ion cells.
3.7V at 820mAh delivers 3.03Wh capacity — sufficient for full daily operation on this device class.
Connector slides vertically into the battery slot; locking tab seats flush against the phone frame.
We bench-tested this cell in a Cruiser unit; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion with clean voltage ramp.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Gresso Cruiser / Grand / Luxor / Regal — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 820mAh (3.03Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Gresso Cruiser, Grand, Luxor, and Regal mobile phones. It fits the same battery bay and connector shared across the Gresso luxury handset lineup. Install it when the original cell no longer holds charge through a normal day of calls and use.

  • Cruiser, Grand, Luxor, and Regal compatibility: These four Gresso models share the same 54.26 × 33.67 × 4.23mm cell format, 3.7V nominal voltage rail, and connector pinout — so one replacement cell covers the full lineup without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge sequences and monitored BMS cutoff behavior at both ends of the voltage curve. The protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage threshold, and charge acceptance was consistent across multiple cycles.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Gresso after a cell swap

A new cell has a slightly different discharge curve than the original. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell, so it misreads the actual voltage state. When the modem or display pulls a current spike, the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold before the OS knows it's that low. The phone shuts off even though the percentage display shows charge remaining. Run one full discharge to near-zero and a full charge to 100% — after that cycle, the coulomb counter aligns to the new cell and the shutdowns stop.

Phone won't power on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the cell voltage dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters lockout mode and blocks current flow to protect the cell from damage. The phone will show nothing when you press the power button — no charging animation, no response. Connect it to a wall charger, not a computer USB port, and leave it for 20–30 minutes without touching it. Most BMS circuits trickle-charge out of lockout at around 2.5–3.0V and then resume normal charging.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my Gresso showing the wrong battery percentage after fitting the new cell?

The fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell, and the new cell's curve doesn't match it yet. Until the IC recalibrates, percentage readings can be off by 10–20% or jump erratically under load. Run one full discharge from 100% to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter resets its baseline to the new cell.

The phone cuts off suddenly at around 25% — what's causing that?

This is a voltage cliff, not a capacity problem. Under a high-current draw — modem transmit, screen at full brightness — the cell voltage drops sharply below the BMS cutoff threshold even though the OS still shows charge remaining. The fuel gauge IC hasn't mapped the new cell's curve yet, so it doesn't warn the OS in time. One complete discharge-charge cycle recalibrates the IC and eliminates the premature cutoff.

My Gresso feels noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges — is that normal?

A new cell typically has higher internal impedance than a well-cycled one. The charge IC pushes current into that higher resistance, and the extra energy dissipates as heat. It's most noticeable on the first one to three charge cycles and reduces as the cell's impedance drops with use. If the warmth persists beyond three full cycles or the phone becomes hot rather than warm, check that the back cover is seated correctly and not trapping heat against the cell.
