Fits KONKA W991 smartphones; replaces OEM battery part number KLB200N289.
3.7V, 2000mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 7.4Wh to restore full-charge capacity on degraded originals.
Connector slides into the W991 battery slot with standard lithium-ion tab orientation; locking tab seats flush.
We bench-tested this cell in a W991 unit; the BMS accepted the pack on first insertion with normal charge curve.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

KONKA W991 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (KLB200N289)

This is a 3.7V, 2000mAh Li-ion cell built to the KLB200N289 specification for the KONKA W991 smartphone. It replaces the original battery when capacity fade makes the phone unreliable through a full day of use. Dimensions are 70.18 × 60.00 × 4.67mm — confirm these against your existing cell before installation.

  • W991 fitment: The W991 uses a fixed voltage rail at 3.7V nominal with a connector and cell footprint specific to this candybar form factor. Any cell substitution outside the KLB200N289 footprint will not seat correctly against the board connector.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge, load, and BMS cutoff checks. The protection circuit responds correctly to over-current and reaches full charge termination without false cutoff at the top of the curve.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC learn the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the W991 after a cell swap

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity problem. The W991's modem and display draw a combined current spike that the new cell cannot sustain if the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old degraded cell's curve. The phone's OS believes 25% remains, but the actual cell voltage collapses under load and the protection circuit cuts power. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — after that cycle the fuel gauge recalibrates and the shutdowns stop.

W991 not powering on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage and can drop below 2.5V per cell — at that point the BMS locks out to prevent damage and the phone will not respond to a normal power-on attempt. Connect the phone to a wall charger, not a USB port, and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC applies a low-current pre-charge trickle that recovers the cell voltage above the BMS re-enable threshold. Once the screen shows a charging indicator, the BMS has re-initialised and normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My KONKA W991 keeps shutting off at around 25% battery — is the replacement cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. What you're seeing is the fuel gauge IC still reading against the old degraded cell's discharge curve, so it reports 25% while the actual voltage under modem and screen load has already collapsed below the cutoff threshold. Run the phone down to automatic shutdown, then charge it to 100% in one uninterrupted cycle. After that full calibration pass, the shutdowns stop.

The W991 won't turn on after I installed the new battery — it just shows a dead screen.

If the replacement cell discharged below 2.5V during storage or shipping, the BMS locks out and blocks normal startup. Plug into a wall charger and leave the phone alone for at least 20 minutes — do not press the power button during this time. The charge IC runs a low-current pre-charge trickle that lifts the cell voltage above the BMS re-enable threshold. Once the charging indicator appears on screen, the BMS has reset and the phone will boot normally.

After fitting the KLB200N289, the battery percentage jumps around erratically for the first day — what's happening?

The coulomb counter in the W991's fuel gauge IC was trained on the original cell's impedance and discharge profile. With a new cell installed, the stored calibration data no longer matches actual cell behaviour, so the reported percentage jumps as the IC tries to reconcile measured voltage against an outdated model. Complete two full discharge-to-charge cycles without interruption and the fuel gauge will converge on the new cell's curve. After the second cycle, percentage readings stabilise.
