Fits Modelo Zonda Mega ZA950 and replaces OEM battery KLB200N289.
3.7V, 2000mAh cell delivers the charge capacity this smartphone requires for a full operating cycle.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a single locking tab — no orientation tricks.
We bench-tested this pack on the ZA950 platform; the BMS accepted the charge handshake cleanly on first insertion.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Modelo Zonda Mega ZA950 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (KLB200N289)

This 3.7V, 2000mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Modelo Zonda Mega ZA950 smartphone. It uses OEM part number KLB200N289 and matches the factory voltage and capacity spec. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge through a normal day.

  • ZA950 platform fit: The Zonda Mega ZA950 uses a fixed 3.7V single-cell architecture with a direct connector to the charge IC. This replacement cell matches that voltage rail and connector pinout, so the charge IC and fuel gauge IC see the correct cell parameters on first boot.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the ZA950 platform and confirmed BMS handshake on first connection. The protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff, and the charge IC accepted current at both standard and elevated charge rates without fault codes.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle before re-enabling it. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the ZA950 after a cell swap

The ZA950's fuel gauge IC stores a discharge curve calibrated to the original cell. A new cell has a different internal resistance profile, so the gauge misjudges remaining capacity. When modem or screen load spikes, the actual cell voltage drops below the 3.4V cutoff threshold before the gauge expects it, triggering an abrupt shutdown. One full discharge-charge cycle with fast charging off resets the coulomb counter and resolves this within two to three cycles.

Phone shows incorrect battery percentage after installing the KLB200N289

The fuel gauge IC on the ZA950 uses a stored charge table tied to the old cell's impedance and capacity fade profile. A fresh 2000mAh cell reads differently at every state of charge, so the percentage jumps or stalls at fixed points like 80% or 50%. Drain the battery fully until the phone shuts off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without removing the cable. After one complete cycle the gauge recalculates its reference table and percentage tracking stabilises.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Zonda Mega ZA950 won't turn on after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few weeks — is it dead?

It is most likely in BMS lockout. If a Li-ion cell drops below roughly 2.5V during storage, the protection circuit blocks all current to prevent cell damage. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing any buttons. Most cells recover to a bootable voltage above 3.0V within that window and the phone will power on normally.

Fast charging stopped working on my ZA950 the day after I fitted the replacement battery — it only trickle charges now.

The charge IC on the ZA950 negotiates the fast-charge protocol on each session. With a new, uncalibrated cell showing higher impedance than the aged original, the charge IC sometimes steps down to a lower current tier as a precaution on the first few cycles. Run two complete standard-rate charge cycles and the IC will adjust its current limit upward as it reads the cell's actual impedance. If it still limits after three cycles, check that the charging cable supports the required current — the issue is usually the cable, not the cell.

The ZA950 feels noticeably warm near the battery while charging with the new cell — is something wrong?

A new cell at full capacity has lower internal resistance than a degraded original, but the charge IC briefly overshoots current on its first session because it was tuned to the old cell's resistance profile. This produces slightly more heat than normal for the first one or two full charges. The warmth should stay below uncomfortable-to-touch and drop off after two cycles as the charge IC recalibrates its current delivery. If the phone becomes hot enough to be uncomfortable or shuts itself down during charging, disconnect immediately and check that the charge voltage at the USB port is within 5V ± 0.25V.
