Fits Meu AN500 smartphone; replaces original 3.7V Li-ion cell for calls, messaging, and app operation.
3.7V, 2000mAh capacity delivers full power restore to AN500 after original battery degrades or fails to hold charge.
Connector and slot match AN500 hardware; physical dimensions 70.18 x 60.00 x 4.67mm ensure flush fit without forcing.
We bench-cycled this cell in the AN500 platform; BMS accepted handshake on first insertion with stable voltage delivery across discharge.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Meu AN500 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 2000mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Meu AN500 smartphone. It slots into the original battery bay and restores power to calls, messaging, and apps. No OEM part number is published for this cell, but dimensions (70.18 × 60.00 × 4.67mm) match the AN500 battery compartment.

  • AN500 fit confirmation: The AN500 uses a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion configuration with a connector pinout that carries both power and fuel gauge data. The replacement cell shares the same physical footprint and pin arrangement, so the phone's charge IC accepts it without hardware modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled the cell through charge and discharge on the bench, monitoring BMS cutoff behaviour at both the high-voltage and low-voltage limits. The protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage threshold and resumed charging without error after reconnection.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

A new cell has a slightly different internal resistance profile than the original. Under peak load — active call, screen on, mobile data transmitting — the phone draws a short burst of current that causes a voltage dip. If the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's curve, it misreads the remaining capacity and the BMS shuts down the phone before the gauge hits zero. One full discharge-charge cycle after installation corrects the reference table the fuel gauge uses. After calibration, the shutdowns stop.

Phone reads 100% immediately after install and drops fast

The fuel gauge IC on the AN500 stores a charge state from the previous cell. When a new cell is installed, the IC inherits that stale reading rather than measuring the actual state of charge. The percentage then jumps or drops erratically until the coulomb counter resets through a full cycle. Drain the phone completely until it powers off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — after one full cycle the gauge tracks the new cell correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions

My AN500 keeps shutting off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is the battery faulty?

The battery is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the discharge curve of the old cell, so it misreads the voltage cliff on the new one and triggers a shutdown before the displayed percentage reaches zero. Run one full discharge-charge cycle — drain the phone to auto-off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — and the shutdowns stop. If they continue past two full cycles, check that the battery connector pins are fully seated.

Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery on my AN500 — it only charges slowly now.

The charge IC on the AN500 negotiates fast-charge current on the first cycle with a new cell. On an uncalibrated cell the IC defaults to a lower current rate as a precaution. This is normal behaviour on the first charge after a cell swap. Complete one full charge cycle at the standard rate, then reconnect the charger — fast charging resumes once the IC accepts the new cell's impedance profile.

My AN500 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it.

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage. If the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V, the BMS entered lockout mode to prevent damage — the phone will not power on in this state. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button; the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold. Once the screen shows a charging indicator, the cell has cleared lockout and the phone will boot normally.
