Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Panasonic EB-A200 / EB-X500 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (EB-BSX500)
This is a 3.7V, 720mAh Li-ion replacement cell for the Panasonic EB-A200, EB-X100, and EB-X500 smartphones. It matches the OEM part number EB-BSX500 and installs directly into the original battery bay. Voltage and capacity figures come from the product data — 2.66Wh total energy.
- EB-A200 / EB-X100 / EB-X500 platform fit: These three models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol, which is why a single cell covers all three. The charge IC on each device reads the same thermistor resistance range, so the BMS communicates correctly without any adaptation.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the EB-X500 platform. The BMS accepted the cell on first insertion, raised no fault codes, and the charge IC stepped through trickle, constant-current, and constant-voltage phases without interruption.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the EB-A200 after a cell swap
The EB-A200's modem and display draw a combined load spike that can exceed 1A in bursts. When the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, it misreads the new cell's actual state of charge. The new cell hits its low-voltage cutoff — typically around 3.0V under load — while the gauge still reads 20–30% remaining. One full discharge-charge cycle with no interruption resets the coulomb counter and eliminates the mismatch.
Device not powering on after the replacement cell sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the cell voltage drops below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout mode and blocks normal charging to prevent thermal runaway on a deeply discharged cell. The phone will show no response to the charger and no boot screen. Connect to a 5V USB charger and leave it untouched for 20–30 minutes — the charge IC applies a trickle current below BMS lockout threshold, recovers the cell voltage above 2.9V, and normal charging resumes automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my EB-A200 show 25% battery and then shut off without warning?
This is a voltage cliff — the new cell cannot sustain voltage under the combined load of the modem radio and screen backlight, and the BMS cuts power before the fuel gauge registers zero. The fuel gauge IC is still running a discharge curve calibrated to the old, degraded cell, so the percentage shown is inaccurate. Run one uninterrupted discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without removing the cable — this recalibrates the coulomb counter to the new cell's actual curve.
The EB-X500 won't power on after I installed the new battery — no screen, no charging indicator, nothing.
If the replacement cell was stored for some time before installation, its voltage may have dropped below 2.5V, which triggers BMS lockout. The device will not boot and the charge IC will not start a standard charge cycle in this state. Plug into a 5V USB source and leave the phone connected without pressing any buttons for at least 25 minutes — the charge IC delivers a low-current trickle that brings the cell above 2.9V and exits lockout, after which normal charging and boot behaviour resume.
After fitting the new EB-BSX500 cell, the battery percentage jumps erratically — sometimes 10 points in a few seconds.
Erratic percentage readings on a freshly installed cell mean the fuel gauge IC's internal model no longer matches the actual cell discharge curve. The coulomb counter accumulated error tracking the old cell and has not yet reset to the new one. Let the phone discharge fully until it shuts itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — one complete cycle is enough for the fuel gauge IC to rebuild an accurate state-of-charge model against the new 720mAh cell.
