Fits Panasonic X700, X708, and EB-X700 models; replaces OEM part EB-BSX700.
3.7V, 800mAh cell delivers 2.96Wh to run the X700 through a full day of standby and mixed use.
Connector slides straight into the factory slot with a single locking tab; no modification needed.
We bench-tested this cell on a Panasonic X700 dock charger; the BMS accepted a full charge cycle without fault codes.
On first use, run one complete discharge-to-shutdown cycle before enabling any fast-charge mode so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates to this cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Panasonic X700 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (EB-BSX700)

This is a 3.7V, 800mAh Li-ion cell replacing the original EB-BSX700 battery in the Panasonic X700, X708, EB-X700, and EB-X700ACZUS smartphones. The original cell degrades over charge cycles, leading to capacity loss and unexpected shutdowns. Swapping it out restores the phone to normal operating behaviour.

  • X700 and X708 platform fit: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol, so one cell covers the full X700 line. The 3.7V nominal voltage rail matches what the charge IC and fuel gauge IC expect from the factory.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the X700 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the charge IC stepped through trickle, constant-current, and constant-voltage phases cleanly.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after install: On first use after fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before fast-charge current is applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the X700 after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve it learned from the old, degraded cell. The new cell has a steeper voltage cliff at low charge, and the phone's processor cuts power before the OS percentage reaches zero. The fuel gauge needs one full discharge cycle — down to auto-shutoff, then a full charge — to re-anchor its coulomb counter to the new cell. After that cycle, low-percentage shutdowns typically stop.

Phone feels warm near the battery during the first few charges

A new cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates more heat during the constant-current phase. This is normal for the first two to three cycles and reduces as impedance settles. If warmth continues past the third full charge, check that the back cover is seated properly — trapped air between the cover and cell slows heat dissipation. The phone should feel no warmer than before the swap by cycle four.

Frequently Asked Questions

The X700 percentage jumps around erratically after I fitted the new battery — is something wrong with the cell?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve and is producing unreliable readings against the new one. Run one full discharge — let the phone shut off on its own — then charge to 100% without interruption at standard charge speed. The coulomb counter resets against the new curve after that cycle and percentage readings stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working the moment I put the replacement battery in — it only slow-charges now.

Some USB-PD and proprietary fast-charge protocols require the BMS to complete a handshake with the charge IC before high-current charging is enabled. On a brand-new cell, this handshake can fail on the first cycle because the BMS has not yet logged a completed charge profile. Run one full charge at standard speed, let it complete to 100%, then reconnect with fast charging enabled — the BMS handshake succeeds on the second cycle in most cases.

My X700 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it.

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below roughly 2.5V, the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent damage and will not pass current to the phone. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power it on. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell above the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 2.9V, at which point the lockout clears and the phone will boot normally.
