Fits Prestigio PSP3453 DUO smartphone; replaces OEM battery PSP3453 DUO.
3.7V 1400mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 5.18Wh — restores full capacity for calling, messaging, and apps on this dual-SIM device.
Connector type and orientation match original PSP3453 DUO pack; physical fit confirmed on hardware without modification.
We bench-tested this cell in the PSP3453 DUO platform; BMS accepted the new pack on first insertion with standard charge curve recognition.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Prestigio PSP3453 DUO — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (PSP3453 DUO)

This 3.7V 1400mAh Li-ion cell is a direct swap for the battery in the Prestigio PSP3453 DUO dual-SIM smartphone. It matches the original voltage and capacity spec, restoring power to calls, messaging, and basic apps. Install requires removing the back cover and disconnecting the original flat-flex connector.

  • PSP3453 DUO dual-SIM platform: Running two active SIM slots doubles the modem draw compared to single-SIM mode. Both radios poll the network simultaneously, which pulls harder on the cell under peak load. This replacement cell is rated to the same 1400mAh capacity as the original to handle that combined radio draw.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the PSP3453 DUO platform. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and charge termination triggered correctly at 4.2V. Voltage held stable under simultaneous screen-on and dual-radio load.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins. Skipping this step is the main cause of erratic percentage readings in the first few days.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the PSP3453 DUO after a cell swap

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity problem. When the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, it reports 25% remaining while the new cell's actual open-circuit voltage has already dropped below what the modem needs to sustain a call or data session. The phone shuts down because the load voltage collapses, not because the gauge hit zero. One full discharge-charge cycle lets the coulomb counter reset its endpoint and eliminates most of these early shutdowns.

Phone does not power on after sitting in storage with a flat battery

If the PSP3453 DUO was stored discharged for weeks, the cell may have drained below 2.5V. At that level, the BMS locks out charge current as a safety measure and the phone shows nothing on screen. Plug into a wall adapter — not a USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC delivers a trickle recovery current to bring the cell above the BMS unlock threshold, typically around 3.0V, before normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My PSP3453 DUO keeps shutting off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is the cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC in the PSP3453 DUO is still using the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell, so it thinks 25% remaining is safe when the new cell's voltage is actually collapsing under modem load. Run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without fast charging enabled. After that single calibration cycle, the coulomb counter resets its endpoints against the new cell and the early shutdowns stop.

The battery percentage jumps around erratically — it reads 60%, then drops to 40% in minutes — what's causing that?

This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating itself against a cell it has never seen before. The PSP3453 DUO's gauge was tuned to the original cell's internal resistance and discharge curve, and until it completes at least one full cycle with the new cell, the percentage estimate is unreliable. Avoid topping up in short bursts for the first two days — let the phone discharge to shutdown and charge to 100% in one go. After two full cycles the readings stabilise.

The phone won't charge past about 80% on the new battery — charging just stops early.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the PSP3453 DUO sometimes applies a conservative termination threshold because the new cell's impedance reads higher than expected — this is normal for a fresh Li-ion cell at room temperature. Disconnect the charger, let the phone sit for five minutes, then reconnect. If it resumes charging and reaches 100%, the issue is resolved. If it consistently stops at 80% after three or more full cycles, check that the battery connector is fully seated, as partial contact raises apparent impedance and triggers early termination.
